Ships & Systems Classification Proposal Feedback - Squad - 03-22-2021 Ships & Systems Classification Feedback We've discussed making some changes to the Systems & Ships Classification system under the current rules and would like community feedback on what we have been considering. This is part of a simplification process that would include changes to law enforcement IDs allowing them to continue enforcing laws in House Space while opening up RP opportunities/gameplay in border worlds and connecting systems. Engagement rights against hostiles in the current Zone of Influence ("ZOI") for those IDs would remain. The proposal does away with Yellow and Red systems and may lead to further simplification of the ΤΩΣO systems, though additional ID changes would need to be made. The full proposal is below with an examplar ID for comparison, review, and comment.
RE: Ships & Systems Classification Proposal Feedback - Miaou - 03-22-2021 first RE: Ships & Systems Classification Proposal Feedback - Venkman - 03-22-2021 I'm all up for it. The Borderworlds would feel more like Borderworlds. RE: Ships & Systems Classification Proposal Feedback - Lemon - 03-22-2021 - Can enforce Kusari laws within Kusari House Space. Yes, Finally this is taken from Laws and into ID. It was causing massive confusion and many people still disagree. I have 2 systems that will cause issue in my opinion - Orkney and Pennsylvania. Both systems have tradelanes and are "normal", imo the lawfuls should be able to enforce laws there (yet at the same timee.g. Pirate ID should be able to shooti RE: Ships & Systems Classification Proposal Feedback - Wire - 03-22-2021 I was ![]() ![]() ![]() RE: Ships & Systems Classification Proposal Feedback - Saronsen - 03-22-2021 gunboats have never been considered caps as far as rules and pretty much all law enforcement has gone youre shrinking law enforcements ZoI even further, while factions like the Outcasts and Corsairs can bring battleships to and attack people and pobs in something like 80% of all systems in the game pennsylvania is literally a liberty system, considering its all liberty factions, has a battleship in the system, and has a liberty controlled planet, has been in our laws since its inception, so im not sure why youre excluding that honestly doesnt seem like much of an improvement. more of a net loss for houses and more of the same for everyone else par for the course with the current development process though EDIT: supposedly not shrinking ZOI, seems like a nothingburger rewording to me then RE: Ships & Systems Classification Proposal Feedback - Lythrilux - 03-22-2021 (03-22-2021, 03:33 AM)Venkman Wrote: I'm all up for it. Please lock Capital ships to ZoI whilst you're at it too. RE: Ships & Systems Classification Proposal Feedback - Kauket - 03-22-2021 I suppose Intel IDs would be made more attractive with this since they might be able to interdict smugglers in House borders? RE: Ships & Systems Classification Proposal Feedback - Miaou - 03-22-2021 For an actual response, I like this system except for the edge case systems. Orkney in the case of Gallia. Poole for Bretonia. Dresden for Rheinland. Pennsylvania for Liberty. Tottori for Kusari (maybe?). These are systems that are heavily controlled by the main house with gates, stations, and tradelanes in each. Some have heavier unlawful presence in them like with Tottori, Poole, and Dresden, but they are still heavily in the house's favour for who controls the most space. I feel like they should be added to their respected houses, possibly removed later on if story develops to throw the political power hold in the future.
