Your request is certainly an interesting one, and I appreciate the clarity with which you've presented it. While we don’t publicly list strenuous transport training as one of our core services, that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s off the table. This is something I’ll need to review internally with both our legal department and our board. We're always keen on the exchange of knowledge, but given the nature of OSI's operations and our commitment to confidentiality, it’s a matter we must consider carefully. That said—I’m not shutting the door. I believe sharing is caring, and the Starfliers’ reputation for excellence in navigation and exploration carries weight. However, knowing your team has the ability to jump pretty much anywhere, I’ll need to have a few more details before bringing this forward for proper consideration. It would help greatly if you could elaborate a bit more on what you mean by "strenuous transport training." Specifically:
The more context you can provide, the better I can assess how (and if) OSI can support your needs. Looking forward to your reply. Bartholomew Kelsomagus - Chief Executive Officer - Omicron Supply Industries ![]() RE: To: OSI || From: '\S/' - TheKusari - 04-18-2025

I appreciate the clarity you've provided, and I’m sorry to hear about the loss of the Velorum. It’s commendable that the Starfliers continue to carry forward with purpose and resolve. I'm pleased to let you know that OSI is ready to host your pilots for the proposed training. You and your team are cleared to report to Nichols’ Trade Station in Omega-48 on Monday, the 28th of April. We have prepared training slots for eight pilots. The ratio of transports to escorts is at your discretion, though as you anticipated, our program will primarily focus on transport operations. The training will span four days, covering the following:
OSI will supply several instructors along with a gunboat and a frigate to simulate scenarios involving potential hostile encounters. Please note there will be no live combat simulations, but around 60% of the training will occur outside of the classroom, with the majority conducted in space. The crew at Nichols is informed and will be ready for your arrival. Docking bays are cleared and mooring points have been reserved accordingly. Now, on to the matter of cost. Our accounting department has finalized the numbers. The full training fee is set at 25 million SC, which includes fuel, lodging, and all instruction costs. We kindly ask that a downpayment of 5 million SC be made to OSI-Bank.Deposits ahead of your arrival. The remainder will be invoiced upon successful completion of the program. Should you require certification upon completion, rest assured—we will provide a formal document reflecting the outcome of the training for your records. If you have any further specifics, feel free to forward them. We’re looking forward to working with you and your pilots. It took me a few days and I had to pull some strings here and there, but being my age I do know which strings to pull. More specifically, I know the seasoned pilots and cargo crews at OSI. Long story short, we’ve got extra trainers to train all your crew in one big swoop. This would benefit your crew as they can learn from each other in training, as well as both you and us save time. Now it’s a real bummer that you can’t be there with us but I know the burden of command. Let’s do a review of this training when it’s over and when you have the time. We'll take good care of the first group and you can contact the planning department at a later time to schedule the second training. After four long days of training I will be joining the rest of the instructors in a small celebration and after-training event we hosted for all those who participated. Suffice to say, we all had a blast with this training and it certainly paved the way for a follow up with the rest of your team.
