This is a bad change and it should stay gone. Equipment sure but cargo should be omitted from this. Stop breaking core gameplay loops and leave trading as is. Or maybe give them a command of sorts to align their reputation with the faction they want to smuggle for. Otherwise there's not much difference of which faction you trade with between the houses. It's also a good candidate for faction perks that enables a boost of trading activity for a certain NPC faction. RE: 5.3 - Hotfix 1 - Major. - 08-25-2025 I like the rep requirement to haul stuff from certain factions - Shipping companies finally get some love - Smugglers have to just buy one rep and be fine (Yes, this might make you hostile to other factions, but such is life) The only "bad thing" I experienced (As a Molly, Hessian, Coalition player) was that I had to buy bribes for my allies. (Also, keep in mind that perfect rep chars were also a thing back in the days, and these chars were super expensive) |
