Weapon ideas - Lohingren - 07-04-2009 Ok, ok im kinda getting tired of all these threads stating. "Disco needs this" "Beam WEPUNS!" "FLAX" So ok here is a thread for you all to throw idea's at me and Silent for your worldly gun needs. Be it effects, Effect changes or entirely new guns. Throw your ideas around We will do what we can / find feasible we will also tell you what can and can't be done. Weapon ideas - Panzer - 07-04-2009 Hm Yuri once mentioned delayed-shot fixed forward guns for big ships. Dunno how'd that work, but would be fun. Next... multi-launch missles? Like... If all 3 or more hit - then it's a nice damage bonus over a single-launch regular. More razorlike fighter guns? EDIT: Easy Chris i am sure i could make a mine like that no problem Razor like fighter guns are also a easy feat. Multi launch missiles, give me more details on what kind of multi launch missiles we speak of here?:P As for the "delayed shot fixed forward guns" more details on what kind of weaponry that would fall under would be nice, i.e. what you would say it looks like, how it would fly, how boomshanka it is etc. Weapon ideas - Elsdragon - 07-04-2009 One of the nice mine effects. Maybe that one mine that looks electrical? Have Enough power to blow a VHF to hell. I was thinking it would go forward at a certain rate, but have some traking power. Probly nuke mine strength About as much energy as a Cap missle to fire. Caps, especially battleships, need more tactical capabilities in any case - currently, it's just pointing your crosshair at the other BS and trying to slowly get into a favorable position (ie, above him, because his razors are on the downside of the ship etc) before he does the same. Make it go 1000 m/sec, before the engine cuts with a seprate 100 m/sec tracking And Nuke mine damage. A bomber weapon resembling the screamer missile pods in starlancer, multipe high refire, high speed missiles, with low dammage, but can only go in a straight line (so using them against anything but caps would be pointless). |
