Future dev time estimate - Nadir - 05-18-2007 I'm working (very part time) on a Junker capital ship (I think I've hijacked a ship dev topic on that - sorry) and could easily include several other fighter class ship projects (about 1/10th the poly count and much easier)... so what I'd like to know is an estimate on how long it will be before a new beta appears - very roughly. Is it a matter of a week or two, a month or two, months or longer? Just some guideline as to when I should have this *&#)!!! model ready for testing. I'd also like people familiar with ship stats (ie Igiss) to have a look at the 'Junker cruiser stats and weapons' thread and let me know if they think something is really wrong. copied from that thread is " Some suggested real stats for comments for those who are familiar with this kind of thing: . Strafe-Force/-Powerusage: 20000/2 == constant " The ideas I've had as feedback tend to promote the Junker ship as stronger than I would like. Suggested is one battleship turret. I'd like to know what you, Igiss, thinks about mixing turret classes. The balance issues could be 'interesting'. I don't want to make this ship particularly powerful. In fact, the opposite. The Junker cruiser should have rather weak firepower but a strong hull (thinks: Russian space programme vs US space programme - US=high tech and potentially amazing yet flimsy and prone to mistake, Russian=low tech but reliable and actually works).
