[Spoiler] Discovery Map *Version 3* - Guest - 02-16-2008 My map of discovery, so I know what systems to avoid and which routes not to take. (Or the opposite as a bounty-hunter, police officer or criminal). The different colors represent the percentage of bases of lawful factions. Green means there are more lawful bases inside the system than unlawful. Red is the opposite and gray means it's balanced. Black/white means there are no bases inside the space. Any corrections are welcome. The map is being rendered on-the-fly from my discovery installation, it makes some random variations of the system positions so the system areas don't look like rectangles. Every suggestions are welcome! Including some nice background pictures for the map, or some icons for system points. TODO:

[Spoiler] Discovery Map *Version 3* - Knucklehead - 02-16-2008 Maybe you could adjust the color intensity a bit, to indicate how much different the numbers are. Like having a pale red/green for systems that have one extra of the appropriate type, and a bolder color for systems that are heavily in favor of one side or completely to one side (eg. Omicron Alpha/Beta/Gamma or the guard systems) Also, how about having blue for the systems that are primarily neutral, such as for Zoners. Now that I think of it, this map only reflects the lawful/unlawful relationship. It doesn't necessarily reflect whether you're in hostile territory or not. Take Omega-5, for example. Two bases, each from an opposing faction. Unless you're a Junker, chances are you're in hostile territory at some point in there. If someone really wanted a spoiler map, there are programs that will give you a detailed map of everything. They are really discouraged here, however, as they go against the very name and essence of the mod. Then again, there's always the map Igiss includes with the mod... [Spoiler] Discovery Map *Version 3* - SimonBlack - 02-16-2008 What are you saying Knucklehead! The map is great! I wanted a political map, thanks. It looks good. Edit: Perhaps you could draw the borders of houses in bright colours? Other than that...Im so adopting it. [Spoiler] Discovery Map *Version 3* - 13CentKiller - 02-16-2008 Very nice. There is already a map of all the systems, but I like this one much better. Well done *claps* Cheers  [Spoiler] Discovery Map *Version 3* - xxrockstar992xx - 02-16-2008 Nice! 2 Wootz 4 u! [Spoiler] Discovery Map *Version 3* - looqas - 03-06-2008 It seems that superfly met a spider and he ate away his nice maps. :( Anyone got the copy of them somewhere? Pretty please post them back. [Spoiler] Discovery Map *Version 3* - onca - 03-06-2008 Hmmm it looks like Superfly has flown away..... he's now unregistered. Squashed by the admin banhammer perhaps? |
