csv 3 - Jinx - 03-08-2008 there was some discussion about the csv. - and we had some brainstorming. - so thats the result sort of. - by the looks / size of it - its more a SHF based strongly on the CSV chassis. ![]() suggestion for engines are - the center engine should be the main engine ( with the engine trail ) the module should be the thruster. this ship looks as agile as a tortoise, but might be quite well armoured ( typical SHF ) ... i found it hard to model a light fighter for junkers... the CSV just doesn t look like it - and all effords i had to make it look agile ended up looking like a helicopter. the model was posted to dusty_lens first, and we agreed to put it into an official thread to get it evaluated. - there is still plenty of time till the next update happens... so it cannot hurt to hear more opinions. so - suggestions are: 4 lvl10 guns ( 90 degrees front arc ), 2 lvl 8 guns ( 180 degrees front arc ), 2 lvl 5 turrets ( full 360 degrees arc ), CD/Torp, CM 30.000 armor agility similar to the spatial ( or equal ) would be nice to mount a low level freighter shield - but i think igiss likes to have lvl10 HF shields on SHF. 350 bats/bots this would make it an OK fighter with a good punch, something between a bomber and a bunboat agilitywise / sizewise ... so basicly, still an oddity among fighters, and most probably unpopular to fight with. oh, and modelling capital ships are so much easier than fighters..... edit: the front intake thingy is a bit bright - will darken it. edit2: the barrels of weapons would stick out behind the armor plate near the cockpit - filling up the emptyness there - ... so if there were guns attached, it would look much more massive. point of view is : threequarter front front top threequarter rear side csv 3 - shadowjman - 03-08-2008 very good job. i like it. it looks CSV but there is more to it than the other CSVs. csv 3 - Eppy - 03-08-2008 Actually, if this were fleshed out quite a bit I'd suggest a Junker Gunboat...they don't need much larger than that, but in that capacity a model would be good. Either way, good work with this one, but I think it needs mass. A lot of it, especially in the tail region. csv 3 - Dopamino - 03-08-2008 Wayyyy too skinny and spindly IMO. Even though Junkers don't have the best ships, they are at least all symmetrical. I think it would be best to make this more of a combat vehicle than a...(you'll have to fill in the blank for me). Apologies if any of that was offensive or hurtful. csv 3 - Jinx - 03-08-2008 yea - i reckon its too skinny - especially from the front / top. - and on second thought it looks more like a CSV 0.5 than a CSV 3. ( maybe a bit too much like made out of junk ) it is most certainly no "beauty". - ...... you sure that junker ships should be symetrical? ... of course it looks "better" then its symetrical. csv 3 - Dopamino - 03-08-2008 Even out the wings and make it symmetrical. With a new skin I think it could be a Junker Light Freighter. csv 3 - Othman - 03-08-2008 You could simplify the skinning, by decreasing the detail of brown dirt effect. csv 3 - Dopamino - 03-08-2008 And make it less green. I think a darkish grey with a tint of olive green or seafoam green would look best. csv 3 - Othman - 03-08-2008 A new SHF could be a good addition, any idea about its cargo? csv 3 - Boss - 03-08-2008 Can I drool? One main thing, it looks awesome. (typo in main post. "bunboat"?) |
