I have a project coming up and was wondering if it is possible to use NoN-Vanilla Textures in another project?

Any problems with that?

I guess you need to contact the respectful owners of each thing you want to use therefore. It's unlikely all the guys will read it here within the next days.

In addition, almost every ship in the game uses vanilla textures which are modified in some way rather than brand new. So.. good luck with that.

That shouldn't be a problem, at least not from my point of view.

The key words are "looks like".

I'm guessing you are thinking of making textures that look the same but are of a better quality/higher resolution than the 'stock' ones.

Note I said "I'm guessing".

This has been done with X-Wing Alliance by a large group of people with no real planning involved and the results ranged from fairly ordinary to rather spectacular.

Makes me want to re-install XWA just too see the super high rez textures on my new video card.
