Umm... I think you should know that the global server was taken down by Microsoft quite some time ago...

I think he realises this, he wants to set up his own server.

At the simplest level, you can run the 'FLServer' program which you can access through the start menu or the Freelancer directory. This allows you to run (I think) a server from your IP which you can then give to others so they can connect.

As for running with mods, etc, I really can't help ya there... :$

all in all the conclusion is that disco doesn't need antagonist factions, it doesn't need phantoms, it doesn't need nomads, it doesn't need coalition and it doesn't need many other things, no AIs, the game is hijacked by morons to confuse the game with their dickwaving generic competition games mixed up with troll-of-the-day.
