Attacking the site of the enemy's joint exercises may seem like a good idea due to the element of surprise, but there is often a flaw in that logic. After all, the personnel of the defending force have already warmed up their minds to the task at hand, and it is a small matter to switch targeting to real vessels instead of those simulated by the computer. In addition to this minor disadvantage, the Unioners could not manage to assist with the full force of their strike group, despite prior assurances.

With this tactical disaster, it may be a while yet until Petra becomes a hub of large-scale raids. Smaller operations are already being planned and the maintenance staff won't go hungry any time soon, but the station's administration has never been in lower spirits. With Sigma-15 being only one blip on a larger dispositional map, the Corsair Admirals will shrug to each other and look elsewhere for more positive developments.

Rheinland Military, in conjunction with the Marinenachrichtendienst have released a joint statement condemning the attack, and praising the quick response of the taskforce commander, and the successful performance of all vessels involved.
