Commander Jack Walker has already debriefed me on you; he is the executive officer of the LNS-Providence, the Interdictor-class battlecruiser you ran into earlier today. I understand you know of me, but for the sake of seeing this through properly, I shall re-introduce myself. I am Vice Admiral Maria Uhmen, flag officer of Task Force Akhetaten serving aboard the LNS-Akhetaten herself. I reckon that the ship I just mentioned is unknown to you, especially considering how you weren't aware of the Task Force's existence before today.

While this revelation doesn't make up for a disappointing fact in any way, I will not hide from you that it surprised me - especially so how the name "Attack Group South" didn't remind you of anything. It certainly makes me question the history lessons that are being taught at West Point, but enough of that.

First of all I'd like to formally congratulate you for your most recent promotion to Lieutenant, and wish to you only the best during your career aboard the LNS-Roseburg. Your documents are remarkable, and so is your service to date. Having read various after action reports regarding your astonishing performance aboard the LNS-Astoria, I can certainly see a trustworthy individual in you; a prime example of the type of officer who will make a great career in the Navy.

Your actions thus far while in command of the LNS-Roseburg have been commendable. While I haven't been personally watching over you - and neither have I gotten in touch with Captain Burke - all the reports that I am seeing regarding your command paint the picture of a highly capable officer. It is no surprise that you've been recommended to me for candidacy within Task Force Akhetaten.

With the effectiveness of your command to date, as well as the astonishing record of the Defiant-class that is under your leadership, I shall grant you the opportunity to continue your career and further widen your horizons by joining Task Force Akhetaten, and I very proudly welcome you, the LNS-Roseburg and your crew to the task force.

You'll be retaining your rank, as I do not wish to erase any of your efforts or achievements until today. You are to report to our headquarters at Norfolk Shipyard, where our quartermaster will inform you of the more detailed specifics, as well as provide you, your crew and your ship new gear, quarters and a dry-dock - if possible. Since joining the 46th fleet, Katherine has begun to feel a sense of belonging like none before. While being able to join and help in all the missions she was assigned she strongly believes that her place is with the Vice Admiral, as she is somebody who she looks up to. Her time on the Akhetaten and the discussion she has had made her realize that if she was to be allowed to join the Task Force she will once and for all have a way, or much rather a guide who could lead her to become that strong and independent woman, not the split minded confused teen. While she does look up to the Vice Admiral for guidance and advise on how to become a better pilot and officer, she thinks that the activities of the Task Force will be more suited towards her style, as the chance to meet external threats and to work in equal parts brawn and brain, makes her think that its going to be the best decision for her.

Whilest also haunted by her previous mistakes both in the fleet and in her civilian life she does fear and respectes the Vice Admiral, for how she seems to remain calm and collected even in the face of all adversity, which is something she hopes to learn with joining the Task Force. She sees the the Task Force as the right place to learn, the right place for her to become the achiver, rather then the survivor which she always tought of herself during her study at West Point. While by no strech of the imagination Simmons is without achivements during her short service, she is her hardest critic and she never feels that she is doing the best she can and that is why she sees the Task Force as a place where the standards will actually force her to work harder and to become better.

While when writing this she decided not to bore the Vice Admiral with her long and convoluted story, which she already knows that the Vice Admiral Uhmen has read, she wanted to also incorporate a letter that was adressed directly to the Vice Admiral.

Dear Vice Admiral, I want to begin this letter with saying my due thanks. Thank you even for making the right decision for accepting me into the Task Force or even for not accepting me as I already know that I am still not ready to hold such a mantle. I want to also thank you for being there for me when I needed and for trying to turn every mistake I have made previously into a good lesson. You were there from I feel more then you wanted to be seen, now I don't to make this as a way to honeypot and sugar coat, it is rather a way I've found to express all the things that for odd reasons I could not find the power to say.

You are a person I aspire to be like and I know that you will be thinking and even saying while reading this "Ohh poor thing if only you would know more" or at least this is how I think you will say it, but It is the truth. Even do there are many thing that also weigh you down, I think there is something beautiful in how you manage to find the strengh to rise up every time and even make a very good lesson out of. The way you actually present the things that are truly important to you is inspiring and while I could never see myself so passioante about something, I think that I like to look out of the window just like you do, glass in hand and dream. You have been one of the first members of the admirality that I have meet and you have helped me more then you can imagine, even though we have not spent that much time toghether and I think there is a blessing in that for you as I know I can be quite the handful and sometimes a pain in your side, but this is me and I am ever grateful for all you have done.

Now regarding my wish to join the Task Force, I am sure that you have second thoughts about keeping me this close to you and your actions as I know I am quite the unstable person, but I think that you are truly somebody who can bring the best and most out of others and this is were I want to be. However I wil respect without question whatever decision you might take and I will continute to try and learn as much as I can from you, while to spend as much time as possible helping with everything I can. I don't think I need to stress to you how happy it made me feel to see this application. I wasn't surprised in the slightest as I fully expected such an action, but that did not make it any less heartwarming to read and process. It goes without saying that you are indeed the roughest critic of yourself, and while you're young and still have a lot of things to learn, you're also an officer with a promising career ahead of her. And a good friend, might I add.

Being part of the Task Force is no easy feat. You will be continuously tested and you will be expected to be the best you can be. Scarlet was born into a noble family in Cambridge, Bretonia, where she was expected to embrace a life of luxury and refinement. However, she despised the rigid expectations and societal constraints that came with nobility. The lavish gatherings, political maneuvering, and constant etiquette drills felt suffocating to her. Instead, she found solace in the skies, spending every possible moment flying—at least as much as she could without getting into trouble.

Determined to carve her own path, Scarlet taught herself how to pilot and shoot, driven by an insatiable curiosity and a desire to explore beyond the gilded walls of her upbringing. Venturing into the Border Worlds, she honed her hand-to-hand combat skills under the tutelage of seasoned fighters who had been stranded on remote stations for years. She found a sense of belonging among these warriors, far removed from the aristocracy she had abandoned.

By the time she turned 22, Scarlet decided to enlist in the academy, where she spent two years training before joining the 5th Fleet. However, the rigid military hierarchy soon felt as stifling as her noble upbringing, and she left after a short stint, opting to pursue criminals on her own terms, free from the constraints of direct orders.

Her decision to join the 46th came after her "free" Navy lifestyle led to her being grounded. Though she resented being forced back under command, she saw it as a necessary step to continue her fight against crime—this time, on her own terms, with a crew that might just understand her need for independence.

Born to a Houston family of diplomats, Joanne was schooled since early age to become one as well. Sufficiently fluent (and discovering predisposition to studying languages) in most knows Sirian dialects, taught to strictly distinguish and separate formal conversations from casual banter. A dramatic change of course came shortly before what is presently dubbed the Insurgency campaign - a freshman barely off her training, she was bright enough to follow her superiors' directions to the letter and survive the bloody massacre that was the final push on Guadalajara orbit.

In the aftermath, Joanne saw transfer to New Jersey as it required fresh assigned personnel, her service earning her a refresher course and a post on the bridge, resulting in Chiavallati recognising her effort and providing her a formal recommendation for Task Force recruitment officials, and urging her to attend to it at her earliest convenience.

Conrad, has been as long as he can remember passionate about fighting both planet side and space side. When he was young until the age of 18 he was quite the proficient boxer, but after enrolling into the military he was quite fond of the hand to hand combat classes that the academy was offering, both levels, which he passed with flying colors. After finishing Marine training, he decided to enroll to become a navy pilot, but realized quite early that his calling was that of a leader and strategist which had lead him quite early to be stationed on different cruiser and above class ships belonging to the different fleets of the navy.

While many try and tell a compling story about how their life had this up and then two downs, Conrads life was perfect from the start. Born to a loving family that were doing quite well for their needs, his father being a secretary into civil ministry and his mother was a well on her own civil engineer. He was quite the quite kid, which served him good in school and during military training. He never had to struggle yet he was never the most popular, focused on his training and his grades, he managed to graduate top of the class in almost every type of academic environment. Later in his life he decided that the life of a Marine was not quite what he wanted, so he decided to enroll to become a pilot, with the dream to, once command his own capital class vessel. The years have passed and he achieved his dreams , becoming quite the proffcient cruiser commander in the Liberty Navy second fleet, however when the chance arose he realized that his talents were better used within the Task Force Akhetaten

After being saved from drifting in space by the Akhetaten, its crew and Captain Samantha Brown - and subsequently being transferred to Manhattan - Cornelia took to tinkering with maintenance and repair drones to return the favour and help other ships in need. After making herself home and acquainting herself with the planet and its many opportunities, she ultimately ended up applying (and getting accepted) into the Liberty Navy. While not excelling at combat, Cornelia is more drawn to recon, combat aid, resupplying and other tactical support missions.
After gaining a foothold aboard the 46th Fleet, finding a comfortable living arrangement and a special someone to have by her side, she decided to push for more: this time applying to Task Force Akhetaten in hopes of being able to contribute to the success of the vessel and the crew that saved her life - not necessarily in the form of combat, but rather within the auxiliary operations.

I don't believe that during your short stay in the Forty-Sixth Fleet we've had the luck of getting acquainted. I am Vice Admiral Maria Uhmen, Flag Officer of Task Force Akhetaten aboard the LNS Akhetaten herself. I've heard a great deal about you not only by Captain Brown, but also by simply taking note of your multiple operations alongside the Akhetaten in Magellan. Your repair drone services have proven to be of significant value.

The Captain had previously informed me that this application is to be expected. Expectedly, it is her desire to see this application accepted. Although it's not all too easy to approve of someone's entry into Task Force Akhetaten while they show no desire to participate in combat.

However, it's not all that unlucky for you as there is a place in TFA, now more than ever, for officers who do not seek combat. It's a position that is quite necessary, in fact. I'll have the following transmission sent over to your PDA in due time. Debrief yourself on it. Comprehend its contents. Understand what it implies.

Both Task Group Akhetaten One and Task Group Akhetaten Two rely on either external or main fleet assets to keep them supplied on their operations. Access to local and friendly shipyards is greatly restricted, especially for Group One.

This is where you step in, Lieutenant. I'll have you operating under the wider banner of Task Force Akhetaten, not part of Task Group One or Task Group Two. You will be given permission to command vessels belonging to the task force's shared fleet of heavy frigates; heavily armored and armed supply ships tasked with refueling, rearming and restocking our battlegroups. I am specifically assigning the LNS Sacramento under yours and Captain Samantha Brown's command; the heavy frigate is currently located at Norfolk Shipyard and for the predictable future it is to be your new home. I trust that I'll have nothing to fear leaving you two lovebirds in charge. Do not prove me wrong.

Additionally, you will be undertaking the role of forward recon for both TGA One and TGA Two forces, to be utilized and deployed when and where necessary. You will be given full clearance to operate personal snubcraft using any equipment readily available to you, for that cause. Of course, this is your secondary role in the task force and is only to be exercised when supplying of our assets is not necessary.

While supplying the facility is in the primary objectives of the Merchant Marine, it does not harm anyone for us to lend a hand where we can. Your tertiary role within TFA is therefore to provide the necessary supplies to Springfield Station whenever that is necessary and whenever it does not get in the way of your higher priority directives.
