So he/she/it seem to have been a problem for long time already. Maybe placing a bounty on him each time he enters systems where he is not... desired to be should workk:cool:

No really, if the dude likes to pirate why he doesnt becomes a corsair, so he can pirate freely in O49 and so on? that would be the best solution

Omega 49 is not owned by anyone ... the only reason for the Rheinland battleship there is to keep the rif raf from entering Dresden ... other than that Rheinland has no stake in Omega 49 ... the only other 2 faction bases in Omega 49 are the Bounty Hunters and Junkers ... SOOO ... if you wanna call anyone out of their ZOI ... I suppose if they're not Rheinlanders, Junkers or Bounty Hunters they'd be out of their ZOI ... is this your logic?

Omega 49 has two Zoner bases, Gran Canaria and Lanzarote.

Now, Omega 15 has a Rheinland battleship by the JH to Dresden, the Junker base down in the scrap cloud, and the BH base defending the BHG guard system. Now, if he was in Omega 15, then I'd REALLY be concerned about his being out of his ZOI. But in Omega 49 - not that big of an issue, since it's close enough to Dublin.

Gaians care about advancing their goals to prevent the terraforming of planets.
Traveling through Dublin to pirate in a Zoner system doesn't really advance said goals.

What you neglected to mention is (& I quote) "Many of the modern Gaians are ordnary criminals and pirates who consider an alliance with the Corsairs to be the best way to ensure their survival."

Now, considering all the time I & a number of other Gaian players have spent attempting to elevate the common perception of the Gaians on the whole, I really loathe to say this, but If a person chooses to RP their Gaian as a pirate, they are perfectly within RP to do so. As stated in the quote above, many Gaians are just criminals & pirates which means their goal is to engage in piracy & criminality.

So anyway, as far as O-49 goes, Gaians are not commonly found operating there on day-trips, but there is no reason for them not to go there if they otherwise so choose.

There's no Rheinland battleship in 49, and it doesn't border Dresden:P

However, I do believe there has been a case where a Gaian in Omega 5 was warned for ZoI violation...admittedly, he was acting like a Corsair (from what I read), but pirating in the Omegas is kinda pushing it...

Er ... yeah ... I was picturing Omega 15 when I posted that ... 49's the Zoner system. Anyway ... logic still fits ... should the only players in Omega 49 be Zoners, Corsair and BH? Those are the only NPC factions you find flyin about. And the only bases are Zoner.

#3 not exactly my logic, its just that when choosing "x faction" you have to stick to rp rules, so as I told the guy "Do you see a xeno in rheinland?" no you dont because it's totally of of their ZOI.
Yeah i've seen gaians getting warned for ZOI violation too. As far as I think this is an ID misunderstanding problem, Gaians should basically attack transports carrying terraforming gases, miing machiones, etc. This is a problem similar to that of the researcher, where the guy thinks that for buying researcher ID he/she thinks can legally trade a full cargo of cardi or artifacts straight into manhattan; just that in this case the guy thought he could pirate like a corsair or rogue, etc. Why not getting a rogue/hacker/OC/corsair/etc etc ID then

I would agree with you about choosing a faction you'd be out of your ZOI ... but that doesn't mean you can't be there. I see Liberty Navy vessels flyin about everywhere (with Navy ID's to boot) ... never see anyone posting concern about that here. Seems the only time ZOI comes into play in the forums is when its a pirate type out of his/her ZOI. When I see an equal concern for a lawful out of his ZOI ... I might agree with you on this whole ZOI issue. And Cardi sells at unlawful bases for almost as much as Manhattan. Hint hint ... Junkers on Beaumont and Rogues on Buffalo buy the stuff and distribute it throughout Liberty ... and you sell it for only about 50 credits per unit less. ;)

Nothing too far fetched about a Gaian in O49, it does border a Bretonia system after all. If you had run into the Gaian taxing in the Sigmas or even further into the Omegas in a system that did not border Bretonia then there would be a problem with that. The most worrying thing I read in the initial post was "i could fill a sanction report but i dont wan to ruin no ones's fun so better explain why you pirated me"

Playing with fire there mate, nothing wrong with an OOC discussion via PM but throwing in a vague threat of a sanction?

@Baltar: ZOI is an issue for almost all non trading factions bar Keepers, Phantoms and SCRA. Most recently on the forum it was about a Rhienland Battleship in Bretonia, but just as relevant is a Liberty Navy ID ship in the Omegas or similar, if you see one, it's a new player. Pirates have their ZOI and so do lawfuls.

yeah about the report thing, I just did it to get an answer from him.

Apart from the mess up there, A thread with each faction's specific ZoIs would be great dont you think? So you know where yuo have "jurisdiction" and where not, If I have time I may start working in it, that way this kind of problems will be avoided
