Well if I'm alone and there are tons of enemies around I generally stay with a stationary BS for its protection (and help if I get attacked by multiple enemies) Different situation I know...
Iâll carry this flag
To the grave if I must
Because itâs flag that I love
And a flag that I trust
I'll ask BAF to keep clear of our bases during scraps if KNF will.
I think Lotek would. PM'ing him now.
Oh, please drop the "AFA should stay out of Leeds" thing. I'm sick of the argument. I'm an Agnostic on the topic. Let that sleeping dog rot. Better yet, put a bullet in it.

Yeah that's not what this is about. What you are talking about is simply staying safe-ish when you are on your own.
Fights drifting =/= thrusting 3k towards the battleship
I digress, however, and hope we can all be nice, eh? And in case you noticed, I was talking to both the BAF and KNF, it's just the BAF (well, BTA's) actions that prompted this. Everyone's to blame, no need to point fingers.
I'm not totally sure on this one but I think I like what Xoria said.
It's up to players to develop tactics and counter-tactics, it's not always about fairness and theres always the ignore option if necessary.
On the other side I know such a behaviour could get upset more than one person eventually leading to this topic creation but I think it's not good to have more regulations beyond the server rules (exception made for roleplayed laws and events of course).
There are a lot of situations where moving the place of the engagement to make use of environmental advantage is the only option you have available to get yourself out of trouble against overwhelming odds.
However, personally if they didn't fall into the trick I'll probably won't be coming back, accounting it like a retreat, but that's my perception.
I suppose we could try to evaluate case by case and talk with the interested subjects rather than adding another rule.
As a last resort however I'm not against codifing it somewhere if it helps.
Lo
Not a rule, nothing written -- an agreement between players to not dodge around stations/stationary battleships. We have enough rules as-is, what we need is more good will between players.
