Problem with activation

I just replaced my ini with Argonauts. Still the exact same problem.

When you installed Freelancer, where did you install it?
a) C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\
or
b) E:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\

FLMM believes it's installed in b and if you didn't install it on your E drive then FLMM would not be able to activate the mod.

Open the directory E:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\EXE and take a screen shot.

Great...to fix this in FLMM select "Options->Choose a different Freelancer directory"
