I've been here since the Diamond/Niobium run. I used to actually mine the Diamonds back then as Palwart while my brother hauled it back and forth on the lanes (everyone clustered around the JHs making the lanes safer). I stopped mining rather suddenly in 4.85 though.

Been around since .84, when the Diamon run was the only profitable route, and battleships guarded the pirates at the entrance to S-13.

I made enough credits for a battleship and 2 systems without ever doing the oorp version of Diamonds/Niobium.

If I did those two products I'd go Frankfurt/S13/Honshu/NT via gates and lanes.

Most of the time though I'd Do Engines/Beryllium to Bretonia. Since no other traders did it there were no pirates. Except the OPG. Who killed me while I was paying a member of their group. Good times. :angry2:

I never mined during my entire career with Disco.

I now own a cruiser (Cap5), several small ships and an adv train (Cap7) with an excess of 1 billion credits, all funded by hard and honest trading. Mining doesn't affect me in any shape or form at all, it's a wonder to me why people are so attached to it.
