The groups are 6 to 12 ships per. But thats for both Naval forces and Blood Dragons so they will be firing on each other, but thats Risha.

Shak'rish... Yea LOTS. And they have a decent difficulty level not like the normal Blood Dragons.

12 ships won't make much lag. Only people who shouldn't go in there due to lag is people on dial-up. Also it is pretty much a fight and loot system. You can either fight the lawful people or the unlawful people and loot them to take them to the other's base. Plus there are a few rumors in Risha that explain a trade route that might be good. Not up to par with the NY - Delta route but not as dangerous as that.

The only dangerous part of a NY - Delta run is if the BH hate you, then your gonna be wishing trains had CM's.

Dab, lag is not created by the connection.

Lag can be created in the freelancer server four ways:

1) Number of concurrent users. The more, the bigger the chance of major lag.

2) Number of players in a particular system. I've seen 12 players in an EMPTY system and no lag, but introduce NPC's, Lag-o-rama.

3) Number of NPCs that have to be generated for *ONE* person. This is a server-side thing and is a processor HOG!

4) Number of players in a dogfight with NPCs. the more NPCs/Players, the more lag as it's the SERVER that is doing all the processing power, not your local computer.

So.. if you have groups of 6 to 12 NPCs per patrol, and you end up in a dogfight with all of them, even if you're on an OC-32 Fiber Optic connection (about 100GB per second transfer rate), you'll still have lag.

Something for all you system modelers to think about..

There won't be as many as Delta okay geez. There will be less than Delta has had so don't worry about too much lag.

I will be reducing NPC count in many parts of Delta. Take that into account too. It's cool to have many NPCs flying around, but not at the expense of huge lag.

I realy would love a changing economy, and all that, and I do, from time to time, play on Ioncross, but there is one problem with Igiss MAKING all this stuff happen. Ioncross is a team of 100+ in size. Sure Igiss has all us if he ever needs anything but I dont think we can match Ioncross.

Note: When I say a team of 100+ in size, I mean that they have the modders, and the people who help with the mod, providing difrent do dads, to make things a bit, authentic, like real space.

Also note: forgive my run on sentences. xD
