Haha. =CR= encountering the Harvesters would be funny as hell:P
From my understanding, harvesters have already encountered the CR aldready.
Reaction have varied from CR's attacking.....CR's ambushing Harvesters units.......to the other end of the range , like : Harvesters 'ambushing' a CR trader, but the 'toasters' scanned the ship, checked thier data base and then figures out that the CR trader wasn't :
A) target on the list ?
B) Wasn't a weapon / fighting class ship ?
C) Was worthly to fighting ???? ( is it possible that even machines have an honor code??..............hhhhmmmmm, i must study this more )
D) Guester of good faith...lettting the trader go in hopes that CR 'lightens up'
I was thinking of going to kusari because part of IG-88's programing is to collect as much information in the sirius sector as possible. BUT due to the anti foreigner thing over there i bet i cant.
Not sure what the BD's and GS stance of robots is ether
Ive had enough of disco for now. I might be back at the next mod release.
The Master of all things cyborg
This will not make you a Harvester it just tells us your a non target and someone to be helped. Any responces we may have to assist are among our own channels but post here to get our attention.
When they say the can give you a hand they are being as literal as only machines can. Don't trust them, Boba, they promise stuff like this but before you know it you'll be one of them, sucking out peoples' brains and using pureed children to grease your guns.

Where does it explain how BH were used by Zoners as troops?
Considering that Zoners strive to maintain a neutrality with all factions I would expect the "troops" to be used would be based on the location. If the location was Kappa then the "troops" would comprise of Order, Corsair, and Bounty Hunter. Zoners would wield any force they could against an entity that was attempting to take over their planet.
Read back in the ZOner council archives. They enlisted many BHG in responce to our attempt to harvest planet Gran Canaria. Or ask Jinx, I think it was thier character that proposed hireing BHG and placeing bounties on the Harvesters.
DW was just blind sided thats all nothing personal.
' Wrote:Who comprised the group of Zoners and who was the Bounty Hunters?
It was stated that this took place before DW arrived on the server so this "event" must have been from early last year. I am just wondering where the story is or was this some abstract RP event with the Harvesters attacking NPC Zoners and NPC BH?
No it was player vs player event. Fellow Hoodlum prsided over it. It was not before DW's exsistance. It was probally shortly after you folk started to get organized.

Kusari seems to be the only house that talks to us and many of the recent encounters have not ended in curcit or blood shed.

My characters have a divided opinion about the AI/robot ships. Mike Edwards was the first (and only) close-range scout when Mon'Star & Psi-Borg controlled a bunch of harvester capital ships and fighters in Texas, which were tried to be driven off, but failed. After that event, he's very wary when dealing with AI controlled ships, as he considers them easily manipulable by enemy forces.
Eddie is more like friendly to them, in a manipulative way, as he can try to get his slav... err... his "sailmen" of his "sailboat" to hack the machine to do something, like harvesting xenos, cooking them... doing a run to bring him rum from a junker base, whatever. Oh, and mon'star is his hero! And he offered himself to Mon'Star as support ship, back to when eddie was a missile boat. Mon'Star threatened with ripping his arms off and the like, but eddie still likes him. Like, mon'star is online, eddie goes after him, no matter what. Unfortunately, never managed to be less tha na system away of him, when in Eddie's ZoI.
The others have not encountered AI's or have a neutral status towards AI characters.

Now I think about it, it sounds like a lot of fun.
The BHG, given its interest in Nomad tech, certainly would like to know more about the technology behind these things, with a view to making BIGGER guns for our ships so we can continue to "prey on the weak and defenseless". If this means having to cut a few open so we can go "hey watch - that thing moves when I press here", well that's the lab boffins for you.
Careful around the CR, Boba, they hate AI. You'd think a group of AI robots had tried to exterminate them or something.
