I mean, following your line of thought above, you can justify and rationalize a lot of things. Ganking, botfeeding, no/minimal roleplay before pews, excessive piracy demands etc. etc. are all valid if you look at it from the perspective of your character, rather than the perspective of a player. But at the end of the day this is a game we play to have fun, and really it doesn't matter if your pixels get destroyed. Why not think of it like Battlefield 4? Spawn and expect to die, that's what happens in shooter games, and I don't see why Disco should be that different.
Maybe the reason we're playing this and not those is that this is what we want to play.
Why should this be the same as every other game? If you don't like it, don't play it.

This is not just some arcade game that's about mindless violence or how many kills you can get before you die. Disco is far more dignified a game than any battlefield style game that gives no value to your character or its development. RP24/7 is like an ongoing story, not just a place to spawn and die with no consideration to how events impact the other players and environment. Disco is not and I pray will never be anything like those games. It's players having a stance like that that scares me because there are so many who play but don't care at all how it works out, and it waters down the quality of interaction for players who are here to play seriously. If people have 'just kill me it doesn't matter if I die' attitudes because they're used to playing battlefield 4, don't play here.

Hmkay, I thought Reavers, MM~, RoS and tonnes of other exquisite PVP-factions were some of the best this server ever had to offer. I remember MM~ and Reavers competing over who could rack up the most kills, but ofc they never did anything good for the server because they shoot at stuff, right?

What? Do you have any idea how many hours it took to develop my BF4 guy to level 100? In that span of time, dude's changed a lot. Lots of value there. BF4 is also an ongoing story, the last DLC isn't even out yet, and I always try to make sure my death in that game has an impact on other players, and certainly also the environment. Levolution is great!

*Sigh*
Before you go overboard with your assumptions and rampant paranoia, please do try to understand I was addressing the mindset of players, ie. giving tips on how to avoid feeling sad when dying because afterall this is just a silly computer game. I didn't advocate for people shooting at everything that moves, but was rather trying to point out why there is no real harm in getting your pixels shot. Nothing you say can convince me otherwise. Also, "play seriously" seems pretty contradictory.

First of all, I don't think you should be telling who should and should not play here, thank you very much. Last I checked, it wasn't your server. Also I never said "just kill me it doesn't matter if I die". What I mean is people engaged in a fight should be large enough to also allow for the possibility of failure (shock and horror!), rather than going to extremes to avoid it. It is just a game, can't say that enough times.
Thank you very much for your colorful interpretation though.
