I know this, but what about the scenario in which a player is kind of "troll" and kills someone in all possible directions, e.g. if someone has the "luck" to be Libertonian corp?

If they're doing it within the rules, tough tits I guess. Hire some escorts or fly somewhere else. Not a difficult question to puzzle out, really.

Otherwise all asnub needs to do is freak out a ship, get then in a 10k range and the freaked out ship lands. Victory without a shot fired, 2 hour lock down. Not fair at all.

If a trader dies, they're locked out for 2 hours. If they dock under fire, no penalty applies. If anyone else combat docks they are effectively "dead".

An attack is still 50% shield damage or more; if a hostile ship watches you dock without actually attacking you, good for them I suppose? Doesn't do or mean anything.

tl;dr version: read the rules in the sidebar. They're not as complicated as you people are making out. Dead traders can't return under any circumstances. Docked traders aren't dead.

I think like most rules, people quibble over the meanings of words in the rule to make an excuse. You sir have made this as clear as day and left no room for excuses. Thank you

Funny fact: one official faction members officially hinted (few monts ago) that when player was killed, he was free to return with trading character for pure trading. If even officials were not aware of that, somethin is not really in order.

Nowadays, rules are clearer, but I think it would be nice if player could pass through the system in trading char if his other character of his was killed - but without right to fire first at pirate.

This way players would be given a choice to either wait these two hours or risk prolonging the no-return-rule countdown in case they would not pay.

However, two hour no-return rule has major flaw. That flaw is the case in which the one who killed other char returned to the system and other player that had been killed was in there - because the other player left, which allows killed player to return the system.

Being an Official Faction Member doesn't make you infallible. We are all Human and we all, no matter how much we like to believe otherwise, make mistakes.

I think, in a lot of cases, the problem lies in that a lot of the Community are not natural English Speakers and therefore sometimes translation can throw up ambiguities. In my experience, especially with technical publications, literal translations throw up some wonderful problems.

Everybody has a 'wish list' of things that they believe would be nice to have. We have a set of rules, why not learn to play to them?

I see no major flaw in the these Rules. You 'die', you stay out of the System for 2 hours or until the Ship that killed you (or any of his easily noticeable other Ships) leaves the Game.

I don't think you understand my cold mathematical mind, Dennis. If you are creative enough, you will find some loopholes inside rules.

And not wishing to be overtly pedantic it is "leave the game" not the system.

As pointed out by another user, just in case abuse is mentioned.

Edit: Note not in green.

I wasn't aware that rule has been changed. My mistake then, since I remembered that rule used to say "leave the system".

The more weird thing is that a lot of players I've poked now are quite anxious about the change as they weren't aware of it.

Also, (and I have seen a little of this happening in-game and am in the process of gathering evidence against such a person), there is the other side of the coin where a player maliciously re-engages or stalks the player on their other ships to get as many blues out of one person as possible, even if they are trying to leave the system. The person in question seems to think it is their duty to "teach people a lesson" when it is not their place to do any such thing. Unfortunately my screens of their attitude problem probably aren't enough, yet.

New players aren't familiar with the reporting process and make easy game for such players. Sadly people like this really exist, here amongst us.
