Once again, ignoring my main point and commenting on a side one...
That's awesome, I love to see that. But 99% of the time that is not how it happens. There's nothing wrong with trading, /givecashing, and buying your BS, factionalized or not. No. But I really think (my main point here, that no one has even touched) it's not cool that this is the only way it's ever possible to fund one. The LH flagship was undoubtedly funded from pirating from multiple parties. This is awesome, but it's also very seldom done, and unrealistic to most players (in game mechanics, not RP of course). What we need are different ways of income. Sure we've got pirating, taking bounties, etc. But really, I'm lucky if I scare up a few million every 30 minutes or so (though I can't do the Sigmas with mine). A trader can make multiples of that in the same amount of time, and do it consistently.
Why can't we have harder, better paying missions? Really?

@n00bl3t you HAVE to maintain 5 cruisers
Be surprised... LH flagship was financed FULLY from pirating and even getting parts for it was RPed.:shok:
I already conceded that I will play by what you set down.
Having said that, I am surprised that the LH flagship was funded purely from pirating.

Not that there is anything wrong with that but don't pretend to be some RP example for others.
Right mister "they got me"..... traders passing trough the JH right next to main Lane Hacker base are just about the same as traders passing trough Chugoku.
Can they do it... yes....
should they expect to be pirated... yes..
Also those traders have a nasty habit of jumping over to Leeds if you talk too slowly, with Bretonian Battleships waiting on the other side ;)
Igiss says: Martin, you give them a finger, they bite off your arm.

The question isn't should they expect pirating, of course they should, the question is are the LH RPing any better than those traders, and no, they are not.
As I said, you have the right to "2millRDie" the traders, but don't try to say you are setting some RP example by doing so. Too many factions think a few posts on the forums means they don't have to put effort into RPing on the server.
Even though this is once again a case of the advantage of a trader over a pirate, for the pirate can get sanctioned if he steps out of the procedure, while the trader will not be unless they just plain F1 at the spot.
LH are perfectly justified if they ever did the "2 mil or die" line (not that I ever saw them actually say "2 mil or die", and believe me I pass through Magellan often) on silent traders that scram before you can put in those long lines of RP. Otherwise they get ridiculously sanctioned. It's a case of unfair server rules, but not much can be done about that besides whining in the rules section.
Those traders that actually do RP *always* get RP back, whether you haggle or strike deals or just plain state your displeasure about the incident.
Also stop moaning about LH. Your battleship got killed when you jumped to Magellan, it was totally expected to happen, end of story. If you can't handle the game then don't play it.
why so high? - whats the point about it making them so high... they are already rediculously high for what you get - and i am certain you don t wanne have a server full of very determined traders - not cause they WANT to roleplay traders - but cause they must?
i take that there is no ooc reason to wish for such high prices - cause we could aswell raise the price of the supernova to 1.5 billion, you know ...

less caps in space, more traders:)
I think cruisers are too cheap. Fully equiped bomber cost 50 000 000 credits. Unequiped BH destroyer 100 000 000. In RP context, compare amount of technology, material, payed wages of workers in shipyards because build huge cruiser isnt question of weak... pretty unbalanced. And if you arent skilled bomber, those extra 5 NB-NT loops materialized in cruiser will own you every time;)
