I would rather give BSs CDs and reduce their cruise speed to 200m/s

Don't you remember how slow and tedious it was to fly around in Vanilla with 300 m/s cruise speed? 200 would be agonizingly slow. Like, I hate cap ships but I don't hate the players using them (most of them). And if they ever get a CD, they should get a special one that can only use a very limited amount of ammo. Big ships should almost always have a few CD carrying snubs with them.


On topic, I think they should just stay as they are now. Massive ships like that cruising through systems at that speed would look silly as hell anyway.

that's like... 5 faster than cruise.

You'd probably kill all raid activity in the omicrons and omegas xP

-increase cruise speed for BS - Bad idea , but i understand why you want it , trade line bug is annoying ,
-CD for BS - Well maybe not CD , but BS do need something to help them not be so helpless anymore . I am really annoyed when fighter just jump around me and CD and disrupt trade line , thus preventing me to go anywhere or do anything for 20 minutes .

I think would be a bad idea increase cruise speed like that... imagine using a Battleship/Carrier trying to catch someone inside a field.... ouch.... OUCH.... OOOOUUCCHHHH MY SHIELDS DOWN!!!

Would be uncontrolable hitting everything constantly hehehehe...

About TradeLane bug... really rare in my case that bug, not sure if it is because I use internal cockpit view (without cockpit interior) and aiming perfectly to the center of the tradelane ring... in those cases you are stuck and/or unable to dock... do the same, but hold strafe right or left... that works great for me.

That can happen with 350 cruise speed too. That's pretty much why you don't use big caps in asteroid fields.

Battlecruisers/Destroyers built to destroy Battleships

Highly skilled battleship captains can destroy Cruisers/Battlecruisers easly

Easy to Kill: Heavy Cruisers and some medium cruisers - Heavy Battlecruisers
Hard to Kill: Battlecruisers, some medium cruisers
Very hard to kill: Destroyers



AND Battleships dont need 1000 Cruise speed or 100ms impulse especially CARRIERS
