IF we did it on Repair ships it would being back that 'bot feeding' feeling to it. I wouldn't mind it if it was mounted on a Repair ship, but I still think carriers need something like damage nullification until they get docking modules fixed(I was hoping for a soon but it never will have the critical part.)
In HAWKEN there is a defense bubble that can be dropped by Assault mech that reflects damage until it breaks, giving a chance to self-repair until someone comes inside and shoot you in the rear. Just another example.
EDIT: I really hope we wont have drama or anger and problems with everyone's idea. I would hate to see Orange start cleaning this thread/locking it.

Carriers with 1 million + base armour already take ages to kill, 75% seems way too much - and thats coming from someone who flies carriers, i get bored when i cant hit bombers but they bombers take too long to finish the job

It will reduce incoming damage by %75 for 60 seconds. Looks fine
You can destroy a carrier with a battleship less than 60 seconds
Solaris can't damage missiles.Also Flaks eats too much energy.
