' Wrote:That is something that could use a bit of Admin clarification....
Does the new rule regarding capital ships needing Guard IDs for their respective faction also require the ship use a Guard IFF? (Considering all the trouble outside, outside admin-intervention, required to drop allied reps that are full green due to missions)
As far as I am aware, Guard IFF will not be required to use the guard ID. You will, however, need full guard rep to purchase the ID.
Also, if someone has to rep-grind, they'll be in the same place for awhile... which means that they will be more likely to be exposed to actual RP before they get the cap. Also, some people simply won't bother if they don't have real RP for the ship and just wanted it for funzies, thus sparing us some of those accursed BH BCs...
the guard ID will require a full green REPUTATION with a guard faction, but not a guard tag. Nor flying a capital ship will need a guard tag (but it will at minimum need a normal tag from the same faction[guard LN ID + LN tag])
' Wrote:This rule is pointless. It takes too long to get that tag, and quite frankly it won't really stop cap-spamming. Why can't I focus on the roleplay, instead of running all around Sirius, like a headless chicken, to kill NPC's?
The point is not regarding the rule. It has been stated that ALL LN ships, regardless of class, must get guard IFFs to participate in 4.85 events.
As such, it is becoming increasingly hard, especially due to the fact synth food has no missions to abort, which requires shooting some synth food transport NPCs

Heh, i suggested in-game that maybe the Admins could change all the officla [LN]'s rep *Hint Major Hint*. But now considering just how many characters that is, it could take the Admins hours to do.
