Yeah there was no lag at the time, and lag wouldn't even be a factor. The movement was in far too predictable of a pattern for that to be the case.

003/Max_Millian are the same person btw...

Well, IM not sure what to do about this. The problem is how can I prove that
the ship is not a mod. or that I was not running speed.

My thoughts exactly. As I mentioned to Dark Oddity while online this evening, I know Toby(003) personally and believe he was not using speed mod. Dark, during our conversation this evening you stated that " I know for a fact" he was using speed mod, that's quite an assertion considering a person would have to be looking over my shoulder while I activated speed mod to know anything for a fact. I think what you meant to say was that you honestly believe he was using speed mod, considering the conditions of the game at the time and the apparent abilities of the pilot in question.

Many of you playing the game know me best as Patrick L Henry. I have been on the server for roughly four or five months. During that time I have watched conversations in the game, stayed mostly current with various topics on the forums and interacted with many of you in the game, sometimes idle conversation other times either helping or being helped. I am willing to stake my reputation on Toby's honesty. I first noticed the "speed modder" topic this morning and was the first to reply, by the time I returned home from work there were several more replies to the topic. It seems to be a popular subject. The rapidity with which folks piled on, offering all manner of speculation as to how this or that could be proved or that certain maneuvers could only be managed by a cheater, doesn't surprise me. What absolutely astonishes me is the blind assumption of Toby's guilt and the certainty of Dark Oddity's charge. Dark, I stand by my initial guess that it was simply the superior ability of one pilot over another. And in our conversation proposed that you speak with Toby about the "incident". You declined, stating that you don't talk to modders. I think you are wrong, not only regarding your accusation but also your unwillingness to speak to another player.

As i said, I have been playing the game for a bit now and in that time have watched different players do some amazing feats in thier chosen vessels. When we ( The PLH ) first came on the server there was a night when we ended up at Belfast and were happily vaporizing Molly's when all of a sudden we started dieing and taking serious damage. We hadn't been paying attention and a player whom I haven't seen since, Wraith_Shadow, proceeded to spank us quite thoroughly, all five of us. That's right, one fighter pilot against five other pilots, all of us died. He then graciously spent about fifteen minutes or so critiquing us and giving us advice as well as answering our questions. I'm sorry, I misspoke, the lone member of our little troupe that didn't die in the initial onslaught was Toby, in a slipstream, and Wraith allowed as how he couldn't shake him off his tail. What Wraith didn't know was that Toby decided after being taken nearly halfway down, that the safest place to be was on his ass end and that's where he stayed.

Dark, also in our conversation i proposed a contest, and I do so again publicly. Of course the obvious objection is that a "cheater" could simply turn off speed mod, and there would be no way to prove anything by having such a contest. I disagree. A superior pilot can recreate his actions. I have only one question, empty scrotum or heavy hanging sack?

I realise this issue is closed but my 2 cents: maybe Toby was on cruise all the time? Would explain why he was not shooting back. Its easy to run rings around players when on cruise :) (especially Nomads, heh)

In response to that, without a modified manuvering stats you woulnd't be able to manuver in circles at that speed at 100-150m from your target.

You can in a slipstream. I remember fighting a {BH} tagged slipstream once. After I finally got through to him and told him to stop doing head to heads against me (something the Slipper is worse at, less guns and powerful weapons) he started flying around randomly. The Slip can do very quick turns and circle around a ship. It faces the same direction then strafes and turns slightly to do circles. It is possible. Now how fast was he doing circles? A circle every 10 seconds, 5, 15?

:D hey, i own a slipstream and was 'showing off' its turn pace and if u drift and use the thrusters they can sometimes apear faster on the speed meter...

Those of freedom walk with guns in broad daylight, and as the weak are killed freedom becomes nothing but a dream.
