If the stars should appear one night in a thousand years, how would men believe and adore and preserve for many generations the remembrance of the city of God? - from 'Nightfall' by I. Asimov The Outcasts consider Siniestre Nube a sacred place for several reasons. Early explorers discovered a jumphole within the depths of the cloud that leads to a strange world of ringed stars and strange craft. All ships in the burrial ground are placed facing that hole to honor the Alien Spirits. - An Outcast rumor
Actually according to the IDs piracy is demanding cargo, not money.
As they are demanding your cargo it is piracy and it is allowed, if you don't want to be pirated either:-
A) don't carry passangers, prisoners or VIPs.
B) use another trade route.
Simple isn't it.
Traders do not have any rights to fly wherever they like carrying whatever they like.
Pirates have the right to pirate traders, if you don't like it thats tough.
If you don't check where people are or alter your route because theres a hostile ship thats your problem.
The only time I've repeatedly blown up a trader is because it kept coming back, and then I killed it 3 times (the max limit unless agreed otherwise) and left it alone.
I mean come on, is it that hard to work out that if you see a ship sitting at a JH and it doesn't leave the system while your gone it's still there?
Also just a little side-note, if a target comes upto a JH your covering then don't shoot it. With the increased docking range and the fact that some of the new ships don't have docking lights you can't be sure if your dock-raping or not.
However, if they jump in, then they're fair game, just make sure you've got alot of disrupter missiles...
