Nataly Pearsall, Starfliers To: Bristol C&M Subject: Docking Modules
Good morning!
I'm Nataly Pearsall, taking care of acquisition work for the Starfliers. We're currently looking into kitting out a 'Bustard'-class Carrier that we've acquired, and we would want to use it as a mobile operations base for our vessels. We were able to salvage two damaged docking modules that would need to be repaired, as well as the construction of two new docking modules from the ground up. You think you could do that for us?
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Stay safe out there.
Thank you for reaching out to Akutan Production Facility for this matter. As far as the damage done to the recovered docking systems, I would need to know the extent of the damage sustained, what caused the damage, and things of that nature. Please forward applicable inspections and documents so the Engineering Department can have a full appraisal of how salvageable those modules are. I would make note that the modules will have to be fully certified as a result of any damage, which may incur additional costs in addition to material, labor, and storage for the docking modules themselves.
As for the other systems that would need to be completed for full operational capability, and in the possible scenario that the recovered docking systems prove irreparable, of a Bustard class Carrier, our station does currently have additional docking modules available for purchase. These are already certified under Liberty’s Quality Control Act of 763.

Thank you for the swift reply.
Details have been submitted to your engineers, and the Starfall made its way to Akutan to have at least two docking modules installed. I'd like to have her remain near Akutan until the damaged modules have been looked at, as we'll be preparing to visit Tsukishima Liner Yards once more for the final wave of upgrades. I'd also like to refer to your services in the future, given Bristol's expertise with custom orders.
The modules will be in your mechanics' hands in due time as they'll be delivered with one of our transports, please let me know once you know whether or not they're beyond repair or fixable.
Stay safe out there.
Unfortunately the salvaged docking systems were of largely Grade 3 components and required immediate disposal to prevent contaminant spread to our assembly areas. I can, however, say that enough systems were recoverable and have since been refurbished and assembled into complete docking systems. Akutan’s Quality Assurance team has tested the system and approved its use under the Liberty Quality Control Act of 763. I regret to inform you, however, that the disposal costs of the Grade 3 materials have largely negated the cost savings. As such the docking systems will cost the standard amount.
Akutan Production Facility is standing by to install the systems on board the Starfall.

Good morning Mrs. Chellew.
While I don't like these news too much, it's proof of Bristol's high service standards that you took care of the disposal immediately. Funds for the remaining docking modules have been transmitted, and the Starfall is ready to be moored at Akutan to have them installed. I'll supervise the process from our side, working hand in hand with your technicians. We'll definitely take advantage of your services again in the future, should the need arise.
If possible, please provide a basic certificate of the installation process and the operational status of those modules in this channel for legal reasons.
