To whom it may concern;

Captain Michael Bartlett speaking as the newly elected captain of the rechristened Battleship Invictus. I'm opening this channel to give a status update on the vessel's maintenance and to keep track of further updates.

Your experienced engineering team onboard El Alto has been familiarizing with the vessel over the last days and they have a damage assessment ready to begin repairing and replacing all faulty components from the vessel, as our own limited team predicted most of the vessel's essential systems and the mechanical side on the power plants is green, the issue is the electronic side which was sabotaged prior to my position as provisional captain, which means a drydock won't be required to disassemble parts of the hulk to get the vessel combat ready.

This is a summary of the three major systems that require repairs:
  • The long range scanner and EW system;
    Admittedly this one was misbehaving before the incident, the reason being lack of proper means to keep the sophisticated radar array operational on the field.

  • Central power distribution system;
    This one was the main one to fall during the sabotage and it's the worst offender on keeping the vessel non-operational, it being offline kicked the power plants to run in maintenance mode to avoid overloading systems and crippling the ship further, or worse. Unfortunately this system was simply off our league to try and repair on our own while being on the constant move to avoid interception, there's many components fried that will need replacement.

  • Experimental Hyperspace Matrix and wormhole generator;
    We're still discussing whether the risks of keeping this system operational is worth it, the Petronius served among many more vessels at some point as a testing bed for this technology within the Secondary Fleet in the times where the Crayterian ship Olympia was the only known vessel that possessed such technology reliable enough to operate in the field. The system is big, complex and cumbersome to remove so even after the tests were concluded it never was properly removed, only disabled. We'll like your input regarding this system and we'll request assistance from Technocrats if we decide to go forward on restoring it, nowadays this technology is far more standard with the pioneering Kishiro made so if it's not too difficult to service we might consider it for quick response and withdraw from the field.

The engineering team and our few repair specialist will rely on the onboard sensors network to keep track of stuff being reported as damaged or with unknown status and go patching their way through. with the current team this should take between two and three weeks in the worst case scenario -hyperspace drives aside-, after which the vessel can be deemed combat ready.

After these major repairs are serviced we'll begin scheduling plans on a second stage to retrofit our hangar bays to be more flexible in servicing any kinds of snubcraft vessels from the Zoner irregulars and other allies in Pennsylvania, as currently they're only optimized to handle the Prosecutor-class.

We'll await your input for the time being.

Cpt. Michael Bartlett, Battleship Invictus.
