Recently we have two Gunboats flying around in Liberty thinking they can shoot and pirate everyone. A Rogue Gunboat and an Outcast Gunship. Well, they engaged me at 0,5 Range in my Bomber yesterday. I thrusted away and the one i wanted to meet at the Base was coming (Unioner Pirate Transport). They engaged the ship aswell and today i see some pictures of them Pirating and killing a Hacker Pirate Transport.
This is total wrong. Please dont try this at home. Isnt that already against the Rules? Attacking without knowing who their Friend is and who they should respect.
Please explain why this is wrong?
What exactly is a Rogue?
It's a Liberty Pirate. What is a Unioner? It's a Rheinland terrorist group.
Rouge ID states
Quote:Pilot carrying this ID is a Liberty Rogue, who:
* Can trade and escort smugglers
* Can fulfill bounty contracts
* Can demand credits or cargo from traders and unallied smugglers or factions * Can engage pirates, terrorists and lawfuls within their Zone of Influence
* Cannot ally with any lawfuls
Carrying unmounted IDs in your ship, as well as not equipping an ID, is a serious crime.
They are not your friend. What was your ID?
Edit: from what I can see you are whinging about being legally attacked.
Get over it, or get in game and deal with it.

Arent with Pirates meant people having the Pirate ID?
Rogues dont fight each other. And Outcasts wouldnt just attack the Rogues on their Turf.
I want to see you sitting at a Rogue Base waiting for a friend 2 GBs show up and shoot you up.
Or Smuggling as a Hacker and being shot down by the people which should help you and give an escort.

That's your opinion and that's all.
I've played a pirate, (especially a Liberty Rouge) for a very long time.
It sounds like you are new to the Pirate scene.
While there is Real-life sportsmanship, remember that Pirates are Pirates.
There is a Pirates code. There are ruthless pirates that make me want to
run away and piss my pants. Pirates, even if you are a pirate yourself,
are not your friend.
Always be on your guard around pirates. Get to know the ones you want to work with.
Avoid those who would gut you and serve you up with applesauce to their Grandmother.
Pirates are bad guys. You, Gloucester, cannot impose your
thinking on how pirates should be on other players.
Each play according to what they see fit as "piratey behaviour".
As I said, don't whine about it in a thread that does nothing.
Instead, either go ingame and deal with it, post a bounty,
inform lawfuls etc...
There are way more options open to you than coming onto the forums
And "saying something" in a thread that isn't really related.
Well actually it is. The colour of the player means nothing.
Green can be your enemies. Red can be your friends.
Stop approaching Disco with Singleplayer mindset:)
I'm not attacking you, so don't feel upset at these comments.
Take it as advice from a long standing pirate player.
Ask Baltar for some other pirate realities if you don't believe me.
Good luck on your Pirate RP. PM me if you want some other advice.

Well, i am trying to give my best at roleplaying my Rogue. Yes, i am 'new'. I am at Discovery for about 2,5 months now. My pirate is maybe 100 Hours old, not much cpaired to the others. I am mainly using Wiki as help and found this the last time:
"Wiki Wrote:The group officially fights for the freedom of Liberty, but LSF officials disseminate that most of them fight and rob trade convoys because this is the only way for them to survive - however, no one, except the Liberty Rogues themselves know their true goal.
Rogues arent the Evil Bad guys killing everything including their own people. As real bloodthirsty Pirates are the Pirate ID'd pirates, for my opinion. And still: For me an Outcast shouldnt just attack a Rogue, nor they should pirate unlawfuls in Liberty, it could start a Conflict between Rogues and the Outcasts.

OK, I don't have much to do in this but I think you are both right and both wrong.
To me, if a pirate is attacking another, it should be RP.
If you are allied with that pirate or you are in the same faction, it's pretty much only against the rules right? And if pirates can pirate allied pirates, It should be a rule that makes it mandatory to roleplay it.
If you are a pirate in a zone that you're not supposed to pirate in. makes sense other pirates are going to engage you. It's a bit like gangs in cities. They don't go on the territory of another gang or else it ends up with everyone killing each other.
