Questions regarding Cardamine addiction

Well so just curious but what are the HARMs then? Just being addictive doesnt make it harmful... must be banned for a reason, why aint the empires mass cultivating cardy?

What makes Cardamine dangerous is the fact it is addictive & there is no cure other than death. Once you have had it, you have to have it for the rest of your life or die. And the fact it is only grown on 2 planets ( Malta which is Outcast & a Nomad planet I forgot the name of) With this being the case, Most governments in the houses would ban it due to what it would represent if it was legal. If Cardamine was to be a legal product & distributed openly through out Sirius, it would give the Outcast Nation more or less a supreme power over all governments & it's citizens. To deny or refuse the Outcast would be death. You upset them, they cut off the supply of Cardamine, all the people die & the OC waltz in & take whats left.
