Ok so yesterday I got my 500GB external drive and have been backing up info from every computer here because they are full to the brim.
Now I have this 60GB disk that had some memory lost problems. No big problem I ran a recovery program and was able to pull out 20GB worth of info.
Now here's the problem: Everything is labled as clusters (which is ok with me for now) however when trying to look at some things the files are all freaking messed up....
Example: A word doc that shows odd writing, or an image that shows nothing.
Now I am going to completely ignore the text documents but I need the pics ...
Is there anyway I can make the pics show?

He flies through half the system before going back to New Berlin, where he cruises from one side of the system to the other, hugging the sun as close as he can. All the while, he flies near Battleships trying to scrape me off. I finally send out the white flag, and move back to Sigma 13. However, it was a ruse, and he bit. Knowing his trade route, I interdicted the trade lane and the chase began anew. It ended, an hour after it began, with me retreating, out of Countermeasures and getting very irritated.
He kept boasting how he has never been caught; I'd like to see him beat until he begs to pay, then beaten some more.
You probably used a backup-program, most of them have a re-gain option. The software writes the data on a designated location and places them in clusters. Most of that data will be compromised in some way, you need something to change the data back to there original state. As i said most recovery progs have that build in. Try F1 and look it up in the help file of your recovery-program
"War. War never changes. Since the dawn of human kind, when our ancestors first discovered the killing power of rock and bone, blood has been spilled in the name of everything, from God to justice to simple, psychotic rage."
Well then this program must be the odd ball in the group ... I have read the manual the right way, the wrong way and the side way. There is nothing of what you mention on here.
Note: I used PC Inspector File Recovery.

Hmm... Does it save the files with their original extension? Say *.jpg/*.bmp/*.doc? ifnot then there should be another tool, from the same manufacturer. Ifso, then i think that 20gig you pulled off is just a bunch of lonesome useless scrap

And when you try to open them it says image not available.
