Weren't Rorschach tests debunked as a pseudoscience?

Regarding your poll, there is Self picture (how I see the world, how I would like to see the world, and how other people see me, and how I would like others to see me), and there are many ways to defend from reality also. Some people tend to think that they see things just how they are, and they hardly try to, but they dont manage in it cause of their defending mechanisms and their cognitive distorsions.

Perception is internal coding of things that you see, and it depends of physical environment and persons motivation, things that he saw moments before, education, culture, stands... There are no two persons who see things in the same way.
As Gestalt school says, there are principles of organizing perception, and you cant resist them, your brain sees forms where there is no real form in physical environment. Those principles are the same at every person. Do you see triangle A , circle , columns?

Rorschach test can be used only in diagnosis schizophrenia, psychotic, thought, and personality disorders, and cant be used on healthy persons because what healthy persons see in that patterns depends of their motivation or mood, and that is fine cause brain tends to see objects in patterns and sees form where form doesn't exist.

What if a person sees just a piece of paper with ink on it because it's not about being a realist... hell, you're typing on a plastic buttons and staring at the window covered in pixels (or whatever it is)... does that make you realist too?

The way one looks at the world will always be influenced by his inner thoughts. You say they're realists -> maybe they just want to feel appreciated for being witty and accepted (in their own twisted way).

Sorry about this, I'm in the middle of a exam studying and I don't know why I'm writing this...

Looking at the Inkblot, I see an elephant standing on each side, and a man standing in front of it each one with his arms in the air.

We're at a circus with dancing elephants, yay!

It's either diablo, a mask, a face, an ink blot that weird people use to confuse other weird people, or a piece of paper with ink on it.

..Though.. It could be some random ink on paper.

Well i chose the first option. Don't like it much but it is what it is.:P

Anything I say is not intended as offensive, and to try and deliberately misinterpret it as such would be an attempt at trolling via misrepresentation.

It's not a conspiracy, it's localised bias. They're not intelligent enough to form a conspiracy.

I still see what I saw before. An oversized image.

I know exaclty what your talking about. I suppose the element were talking about here is the idea that ignorance is bliss. Sometimes I find I can't help but realise that were not humans but simply multicellular organisms consistant of multiple systems and structures all working in harmony. It can be annoying at the best of times as you know you'l never see things the same way again.

But then there's something more to us, and the ability to feel as opposed to a rush of chemical compounds to the cortex. How is it that we generate experiences at random that result in these 'feelings' when we sleep? Where do they come from?

It's this thinking that's got me focused on the idea that our natural perception to overlook the obvious has something to do with our humanity, both consciously and unconsciously. It's a good excercise to find what kind of people make up this community and how the hierarchy has affected it. A little useful info for me as well as an interesting discussion.

There's a difference between an educated perception (Option 1) and a stubborn determination to see the fact in things (Option 3). And I must say I'm glad to see more of option 1 than 3.
