For example: I could see RM caps hanging around in Texas all sneaky like while a wing of MND fighters headed to gather data on New York.
If the fighters got in trouble, it would be perfectly reasonable to fall back and have the caps set up an ambush or something.. bail them out so to speak.
What wouldn't be reasonable if you took those caps and went into new york with guns blazing; or having head into New York to rescue the fighters if they were in trouble for that matter.
If you are going to do it.. do it right and dont be obvious about it.
Replace Texas with Hudson/Bering, and New York with Texas. Now you're being reasonable.
Replace Texas with Frankfurt, New York with Dresden, and MND with Gold Wing.

Gold wing did do a recon of Dresden back in my flieger days though. I remember it vividly.. as we caught them coming back at the Bering hole.. and they killed everyone with me within seconds.
