[font=Comic Sans Ms]For the life of me I cannot remember which, but certain battleship and station infocards state something along the lines of "We're holding captured pilots here until they can be transferred to proper prison stations"

....off topic much Zelot?

So....making a system interesting and useful is bad somehow?

Making a system overpowered and having it not fit in with the lore of the rest of Sirius is bad. Yes.

Interesting and useful is one thing, breaking the lore of Discovery is another.

So a place where pure cardimine is made, even though Malta was the only bio-engineered place (presumably by Dom'Ka'Vosh) in the entire Sirius sector?

I know the GC are avid users of the stuff, but now producing it?

Hmm, so there is 'legal' slavery, so I suppose there is no Sirius equivalent of a Geneva convention?

Most guard systems are like that... Tau-65 is possibly the worst, though. The problem is the balance restrictions can easily be bypassed:

Quote:Items from "Balance Restrictions" sections can be "Failed" if you contacted Discovery lead modder (Igiss) and approved all inconsistencies.
In this checklist, however, you must still put "No" for each failed item. This will not prevent including your submission into the mod."

Even Tau-42 pushes the balance restrictions.

Quote:System doesn't contain any populated planets.
"Discovered in 810, Planet Miyazaki, along with Planet Tomioka are the centerpieces of Samura's plans to re-monopolize the Kusari food markets. A planet with optimal growing conditions, this pristine planet rivals Gaia in it's beauty. To protect the ecosystem, large craft are not allowed to land on the planet, so no docking ring was built. Food is harvested on the planet, and loaded onto heavy lifters for the trip to the Tokai Shipping Platform in orbit of the planet."

"Samura Heavy Industries helped us colonize Planet Miyazaki as well as build this shipping platform. We have reports Synth Foods has built secret biodomes in Tau-65, so our representatives went to Samura and lobbied for more funds. This systems development was paid for with those funds."

"The real reason Samura has spent all this money on the Alliance is Planet Miyazaki, we see it as our checkmate in the battle for the Kusari food market."

Continuing with the off-topic Okinawa stuff: If what you say is true, if Kishiro has spontaneously relinquished all control over Honshu then yes, we should delete the Okinawa jumpgate (or better yet, redirect it to <strike>Okinawa</strike> Nagano since the alignment would make more sense anyway). But as far as I'm concerned, the Kishiro NPC faction still has control over the Honshu system.

Quote:Kishiro supplies many of the bases within this system, at least those that are not Samura owned. I don't like Tokyo. It always feels like Samura's heavy hand is at work here. In Honshu the city is much smaller and the ocean cleaner, but neither planet offers much arable land. Our Kusari ancestors came from many light years away in search of more space -- how ironic that we landed here.
(Kishiro, Planet New Tokyo)

Quote:Kusari industrial might is shared between the two diversified corporations of Samura and Kishiro. Tokyo is the only neutral ground for the two giant companies. Kyushu is Samura territory; Honshu is Kishiro country.
(Samura, Planet New Tokyo)

Quote:This was quite a coup, getting access to Honshu and all. We negotiated with Kishiro for months. It took a special real estate arrangement on Deshima to finally close the deal. Soon all the youth of Honshu will be converted to our cheaper products, much as New Tokyo has.
(Synth Foods, Planet Honshu)

Furthermore, the only holding Samura has in Honshu is Osaka, which stored fuel from Sigma-13. Since the GMG and Samura stopped doing business more than 15 years ago, one can only speculate what possible function that base serves today.

Edit: <strike>Okinawa</strike> Nagano

The Kusari government controls Honshu, it controls Kyushu, funny enough, it controls all Kusari territory.
and yes, 42 has a colonized small planet, but it does not break the lore. One is not the same as the other. Kishiro hasnt "given up" control of Honshu, it was always under the control of the Kusari government. Just because one company is stronger or more dominant in one part of Kusari, does not take that part of Kusari out of the control of the government.

two major things i wanna add:
1: pows taken by outcasts -> GET THE **** TO MY PLANTATION N WORK *WHIP*
2: everyone goes all like: OH MALTA IS THE ONLY PLANET BIO ENGENEERED TO PRODUCE CARDAMINE, THE GC ARE RAPING THE LORE BY MAKING A SECNOD ONE

my answer to 2: WELL YOUR WRONG BIATCHAS (sry for the language admins) if you realy wanna talk in the name of us outcasts, make sure you know EVERYTHING about us first. we do have a SECOND planet bio-engineered to grow cardamine named planet SOLEDAD, yea thats right people, weve got two planets, in your faces. and yea the GC are raping the lore, but apparently its no problem cause nobody stopped em.

A Psalm out of the outcast history books.
The dons are our shepherds; I shall not want. They make us live with a cause; They lead us trough the still vasts of space. They restore our souls; They lead us in the paths of righteousness For The Orange Dream. Yai, though we fly through the valley of the shadow of death, we will fear no evil; For the Spirits are with us; Your leadership and Your cardamine, they comfort us. You prepare a safe home for us in the presence of our enemies; Surely goodness and mercy shall follow us All the days of our life; And we will dwell in the house of the outcasts Forever
