I would agree that having things written down is the most fair way of doing things.
'Unwritten' rules only leads to mis-commucations and trouble.
My group, runs weekly lan parties and we asked permission ahead of time, to let the server admins 'in on it'.
I am sure that some Admin looked at the logs and went, 'what the blazes is with that Ip address???'
May I ask, are we allowed multiple accounts, to get past the 5 player an account restriction, as long as we aren't using them all at the same time, just one at a time etc.?
' Wrote:I told you no multiple accounts, and you decided to argue the point ... One player, one comp is the rule
here, written down or not.
Its rather selfish to take up 3 player slots regardless of the player limit ...

it brakes no rule so theres nothing that could really be done against it.
its simple as that.
Cheezwiz shouldn't have any problem, with the exception of idling perhaps. all hes doing is running a convoy.
also to note, the sever has yet to hit 200 people on at one time, so its not really a problem until that happens, which may still be a while.
and again, just to make it absolutely clear

Yes, Korrd made FLAM for that exact purpose. Just one at a time.
I do not think it should be a written in stone rule simply because it can sometimes be the only way to do a transfer safely, but I also cannot think of anything that is in worse taste than trying to fly multiple ships at the same time.
It just isn't possible. One of those things will always be a sitting duck, no matter how many computers you are using. And even if the server isn't full, you are messing with the ping rates for everyone else on at the same time, and that just isn't nice.
In all the years I've played FL, I've met a grand total of 1 person that could fly 2 ships successfully at the same time.
Hmm, where have I come? Why does it seem so familiar to this one?
I'm not gonna share how I did it. That will be contributing to a problem. But I will say this; I did not argue with you, Hoodlum. I was merely expressing surprise that I was met with such hostility for a first time offense, especially to an unwritten rule.
You can be rather bitter with your offenders, so I feel I need to tell you this. Each and every member of this great community(and I don't have to be here long to feel this), even those who do not contribute monetarily or would try to bend the rules to their favor, make up a whole. Each and every piece will have an impact to the whole. The justice you dispense can be rather abrasive and not something that can sustain the environment that promotes the good fun we all want.
I hope you don't take this the wrong way, I'm trying to be respectful while speaking what I feel. Best wishes to you.
