Vector=heading in degrees clockwise from due North.

To prevent overheats, either 1: turn em off in the difficulty options (:P) or 2: don't run at full power all the time...hehehe

Oh, and try overheating a jet, just for the lulz...

IL-16s...don't let em shoot you in just one wing (if they do hit one wing, try and get the other one shot, too), makes it horrendously hard to balance.

Also, try the option that allows you to construct your own missions...more useful than the campaign when it comes to learning to fly.

*coughs* It's I-16, not IL-16.
What i forgot to mention in Skype, go to Quick Mission Builder, and fly against own planes there for some time, until you can shoot them down easily (they won't defend themselve). When you can shoot them down easily, you can go and start shooting at hostile planes.

Oh and if you haven't yet, get yourself a stick.

In a brilliant tactical movement, i charged backwards.

But it annoys me when people make silly comments about that... especially brits who for the most part can't speak their own language let alone anyone elses!
