Only have a Optiplex 745, no spare slots just a lil box with no room. The game worked fine before the Reboot but now this happens, may i have forgotten to install something?

You may try downloading the drivers from the Intel site, instead of the dell site.
They might have a more up to date version of the driver.
Don't forget that you need to remove the old one before installing the new one. Otherwise, both drivers can get mixed, and weird stuff might happen.

I see you have an Intel graphics card. That might be the problem.

Despite Intel video cards supporting the Direct3D 9 API, those cards weren't made made for gaming. Those having D3D/OGL support is more a "marketing feature" than an useful feature.

The solution would be to get an ATi or nVidia Vcard.

Fortunately, freelancer does not require a powerful one, so anything over a cheap GeForce 4 (except the gefrce 5/FX line of cards) or Ati 9200 should do well. Still, I recommend Geforce 6600+ or Radeon 9800+

Well if its happening with other games it CAn be the problem I mentioned earlier.

Is your PC literally shutting down and/or restarting on its own?

If thats the case, ground yourself, reseat the graphics card (careful--it will have latch tab on one end that needs to be unlatched) and check the graphics voltage in any g-card utility you have and in bios.

Make sure it is running an AGP speed setting that your motherboard handles.

Heh, FL doesn't require power in any sort of capacity. I've run it (very poorly, but still) on an ATI Rage II...

An nVidia GeForce MX 400 will do fine, as will the MX 4000. GeForce 2 series can do it on full.

Excellent.
Good that it was the driver, and not the Vcard as I feared.

Have fun in game.
