@OP, is it really that hard for you to just say "No." when they ask? Or, if it really IS that hard, just make an alternate bank character to store your money on, like the rest of us do.
Problem solved.

That rule doesn't apply to PM's or group chat, only local/system. So if the player is PMing the person, then that doesn't fall under that rule. But really, you shouldn't be sanctioning new players unless they're just blatantly violating a rule, on purpose...

Because then people will abuse it to farm credits.

Actually the rules forbid oorp messaging anyone, even pm/group if they tell you not to.

:| Ok? So, what I see is: Make a rule that if new players ask for start money you sanction them
Hows that good? You dont need to give them 10mill, you can give 5 maybe 2. I was at Hattan other day, and I saw a New Player who had a King Fisher I believe. He didn't ask for money, but he said he wanted new ship and nothing else. I saw that someone gave him money and he was very happy. I later sent him 5milll, and then another 10mill. The reason I did that is because when I started, I got money from someone that helped me. No need to sanction new players. Thats a terrible rule

i got help only after I starflier'ed my way up to a camara. But the monetary boost I recieved was a lot of help. still, I believe that people shouldn't be accustomed to recieving free credits, as that makes things way too easy. in fact, i think that some sort of guide to getting started should be included in every starflier/CSV's hold. And when helping new players, rather than just send them credits you should take them on a little quest, be it trade, smuggling or even bountry hunting. At any rate, begging shouldn't be a way to earn easy credits. Generous players on the other hand...
We should discourage begging, but outright banning it is a really bad idea.
No atmosphere? GTFO.

I know, I gave him the creds and told him about the game and how he could start earning his own money. I get them a nice transport to start with, but my point is, dont ban them, that wont help. When they will get banned this fast, they will think the game is terrible. Put a note in their hold about " How to get started with credits " or something.
Also, I do believe Sindroms made a vid on youtube about how to get started. I dont know where it is. And if you see this Sindroms, post the vid, because I can't find it anywhere.

My first time getting started on Disco, begged for money in my Camara.
Second time getting started on Disco, got a small bit of credits from Mickk, but soon after I lost interest and left Disco again, for between 6 months and a year.
My third time getting started on Disco, my current time, I joined IC|, got free Heron and some starting credits.
So ye, getting starting money is good, it lets you get to the fun part faster. 8|
