EDIT: Erm, nevermind, it doesn't fix the lack of weapon groups.

As for trading autopilot, I'm all for it! (already playing in windowed mode when mining/hauling)

By one side, the Auto-chainfire is better to leave it to the skill of the player IMHO, some weapons are too deadly to make so easy the use in that way (looking at my KuEx 4 razors).... by the other side... in smaller weapons can be cool, at least in the visual effect, think about, from cerberus turrets to, for an example, a Firekiss, those weapons with a slow rate of fire 1 or 2 per sec, the effect of that auto chainfire can make it look like its a coordinated firing sequence, as you can say in some modern (and not so modern) high caliber autocannon, useful effect? i dunno, cool? for sure...

IMHO this is unnecessary: it really is not that hard to tap number 1-5 on your keyboard. To continue the chainfire, execute a proper subdivision of refire delay and begin to hold rightclick/fire at the right moment.

[color=#FFFFFF]I have a better idea! Make the game play itself, that way you can RP all you want in the meantime, the poor man's solution: Make your brother/sister/mother/father/inster relatives and friends here/ play while you RP....yeah grand plan.

Taking out the human factor is basicilly pissing the face of skill. In the end it will all come down to luck and who has the money to buy better equipment

Would be much better done with client hooking instead of FLHook.

Can we have auto-aiming too, then?

Chain fire requires skill. Skill at making scripts.

I'd like to see a FLHook command implemented that lets us automatically evade nuclear mines, one that gives me a foot massage whenever I go on a trip in FL, and then I'd like one that makes all the handsome men in the world grow magnificent beards. And of course I'd also like the one that automatically types for me without me having to type so I can focus on flying instead of having to infuriate people with one-liners the old-fashioned manual way. And one that would automatically make me coffee wouldn't hurt either.

so if you want to shotgun you do what?

words 'chainfiring' and 'skill' go together just as pizza and fork. you can have the former without the latter. its 1 click of a button. how much skill do you need to do that?

You ask someone to implement a shotgun command so that whenever you want to shotgun you type /sg and then the game automatically aims for you and you execute a perfect shotgun maneuver with 99.9% efficiency.
