I already said, will repeat again, making fuel with FLHook would be easier to implement. That is simply filling up will fuel with command (or included in "/autobuy all on") and that it simply would deplete over some time.

It would not matter size of ship and consumption rate, as bigger ship = more fuel can be stored, but uses more, so it equalises.

So if a constant depletion of fuel could be achieved, and when you are out of it - cruise engine/impulse stops working.

That is probably way easier to implement when what is suggested in #0, and could be used for trial at first.

Just another question, who will develop this thing? Cannon is already busy with /selfdestruct 0000 stuff.

I don't have the time to be running around trading just so I can FLY (not even fight, just to FLY) my ships.

Here's my opinion.

EDIT: Wrong account. Fine, its, OUR opinion >.>

As if that'd really do anything. Just making them more expensive won't do a damn thing until you get to the point that no one, not even legit users, will ever actually use it, and then you just get more snub spam which is the same damn thing.

I'd rather not bother with having to trade even more for something as trivial as fuel.

The idea of fuel can be used to make things more interesting.
The idea of trying to hurt people that dare to fly capships will not.

Capships are fun to kill as by the whole they really are quite harmless.

So I think if anything it should be made to be a little more realistic than "let's make cap ships suffer".

Fighters/bombers really are short range craft, capships really are long range craft.
The fuel idea, if used, should reflect this.

Well, it would give snubcraft an incentive to buddy up with caps and transports - to act as supply vehicles for the snubs.

Pirates can get their fuel by making other traders drop it, or killing NPCs, or buying it from friendly bases or passing Junkers.

Trade, buy, steal, maybe even mine it.
