It's pretty decent. Tony let me take one out on the PvP server-Mmmm...I had Blunt dead to rights. And that was wit Nomad turrets, not Cerbs, mind you.

That will be a challenge

Whats about the maneuverability?

Respectfully
AoM
After doing extensive testing I think the scorpion is quite balanced. Average armor, limited maneuverability, few bat/bots, profile isn't effective for dodging, but eight turrets makes a good punch. Basically if you fly one and being targeted there is not much you can do in terms of dodging. The faction uses both Scorpion and Nomad Gunboat, each has it's own pros and cons. In short Scorpion is suited for quick hit-and-run tactics (fast raids) while nomad gunboat is more suitable for longer battles with a supporting battleship. Typical Scorpion loadout consists of 3-4 cerberus (personally I switched to 3 cerb) and the rest being nomad gunboat turrets.

Wouldn't it be more in RP if you used just nomad weapons on your ships?.

I see no problem with RP in using those. Description of Cerberus follows:
Quote:Cerberus-type turrets are manufactured in Rheinland and are available throughout all Sirius.
Wild have access to them and can produce new units. This way they get to Nomads in Omicron. Why do you think we sometimes travel from Iota to Omega-55? Yup, it's for resupplying RP.

Nomads have adapted their own weapons to human ships as seen in single player campaign, can't find a solid reason why it can't work the other way for them. Years pass, just as new weapon models and new ships are being constructed and manufactured by humans in Sirius so do the Nomads in their own way. The faction does use nomad weapons and they are absolute majority. Every ship is equipped with nomad weapons and they take half or more of the armament, for example fighters use only nomad weapons and we don't use codenames at all.

In this regard I find it ironic considering how many player human ships are equipped with Nomad blasters/cannons, mainly because of the accessibility of those and not RP.

Yup, thankfully we don't deal with that anymore. Nomad weapons that look like nomad weapons, fire like nomad weapons, make nice explosions like nomad weapons and even *sniff* *sniff* smell like those! :-)

Though some equipment doesn't have nomad equivalent yet. So yes, certain things are borrowed still.
