Cerberus turret is ok on Ln cap but not on gallic?

LN, LSF and even the LPI(LPI only the gunboat ones) may use Cerberus Turrets, as they are sold in their bases.
The gallics do not have access to any base selling these weapons.

Civilian tech is open To EVERYBODY regardless of who made it.

Check the tech chart again. It is red celled to GRN and GFP without exception. So they must not use civilian tech.
By the way: since when are Cerberus Turrets declared civilian? They are not sold at any civilian base. They are just not bound to a single faction. Huge difference.

Also, watch your weapon loadouts. Gallic gunboats don't use Cerberus turrets. I removed some from the CCCP|Aleksander.

I suppose the best question to ask is: under what cell does on the Tech Chart does the Cerberus Gunboat Turret sit in?

Is it: a) Civilian (Sirius-wide) or b) the unspoken generic cell for equipment such as Mini Razors and SNACs, which is not truly civilian due to being sold mostly in Guard systems yet open for everyone to use?

If the answer is a, then no, GRN can't use Cerberus turrets. If the answer is b, then they can.

On a side note, I'd like to know if Gallic unlawfuls can get Cerb turrets through dealings with Sirians.

There are two parts to any infocard.

There is the top line. Which is the legal line. CX-304 Blah Blah Kusari Fighter.

FU-MOM 45 Kusari Neutron Blaster.

Etc. That's the line that tells you who the item belongs to in order to set context.

The second line, with a bit of flowery prose about such and such build such and such in response to such in such in the year of Zod, is meaningless fluff. Clearly there are more than two Juggies, dig?

Note that some weapons, such as the SNAC and Mini, lack any such identifiers due to their universal status. Anyone can use them. They fall in the same category as the Cerb.

So. An admin just stated that one universally employable weapon is not universally employable without telling us why, or what criteria the offending party failed to meet. That's the kind of thing that some find troublesome.

Could just be a mistake. Could be that Outcasts aren't supposed to be using the Cerb turret.

If it is sold on your faction's base you can use it. This overrides Red Cell

Mini Razor/SNAC are just as civilian as the Purple Goddess Turret.

The Cerberus Turret is Civilian, and is not sold anywhere in Gallia

Cerberus-type turrets are manufactured in Rheinland and are available throughout all Sirius. Cerberus turrets deal more damage then custom turrets, but consume more energy.

I hate to be a pain in the ass but it does say Aviable for All sirius and not all sirus except gallia

IMO that alone should over turn the removal.
