Merged a bunch of Skyrim topics. Let's keep an eye out (Korny) for when we're making (Korny) duplicate topics (Korny), especially when we're (Korny) the OP for two of them (Korny).
Guild Wars 2 (announced 2005): it's 250 years later and Dragons are wrecking up the place.
Skyrim (announced 2010): it's 200 years later and Dragons are wrecking up the place.
It's not plagiarism if we change one integer, right?
Moving on...

[12:49:19 AM] Elgatodiablo: You know its nice that you have all that proof and all, Bacon... but I just don't believe you.

Blargh, fine. Oh and Pil, I had the same issue for a bit. Anyway, check this if you're having the issue with Steam dl'ing the game rather than installing it from the disk.

They specifically promised that there *wouldn't* be multiplayer.
I think good co-op/multiplayer in an Elder Scrolls game would be amazing. There was some effort to do an Oblivion mod for it, but it never got very far. I'm hoping that people get farther with Skyrim.
Also...the PC interface for Skyrim is a huge step backwards from Oblivion. It's designed for consoles without even a thought given to ease-of-use with a mouse.
Been playing for a few hours now, taking it slow, Level 5. And jeez, the beginning wasn't all too impressive, but once I've got out of the tutorial, I immediately felt the TES feeling I love so much. Despite of its flaws, yes, some textures and effects aren't up to 2011, BF3 spoiled, standards, but damn. There's lots of love and detail in this game, combined with the soundtrack and epic world just makes it fantastic.

Now where's my quote from 4 months back saying the textures could do with a bit more depth. Kick ass game though, Everything I adored about Modblivion + everything I loved in Moddowind + Uber epic New Zealand/Rohan feel to it! Absolutely the best buy of the month and deffinately worth the upcoming starvation drikparvation and girlfrienpravation
