I once had someone message me about using the screen-name EvilTheBadger in a chat program, since I was already using it. On one hand I was annoyed someone was trying to invade my turf, but on the other I was fascinated how anyone would come up with the same ridiculously obscure nick! If it can happen to "EvilTheBadger" then I'm not at all suprised it could happen to "Carlos" in a game with multiple Spanish influenced factions.

Hence why most of my character names come from Cherokee words.

Carlos Benitez: I had a real life uncle named Jose Carlos. Feel free to sue him for using your name, but you should know that he died decades before Freelancer was released and probably decades before you were born.

Oh and all of those are me except for www.dopamino.com.
What is really scary is what showed up when I clicked on the google images link (look at the terrifying first image). Look at page 3 and you'll find this: Is this Dopamino picking his nose? On the other hand, according to the photo on page 4, Dopamino may really be a blonde, Italian stewardess. Even more bizarre, the page 5 photos indicate that Dopamino may be Che Guevera! The RepEx logo showed up on page 6! I can't believe what I found on page 8 -- an image of Satan's face! I was going to ask "Will the Real Dopamino please stand up?" but now I'm afraid to find out the answer and I'm definitely not going to check out page 9 (which might send me to the 9th circle of Hell)!:wacko:

I actually had a decent conversation with someone named "Virus" today. He seems nice enough, and when I asked, he said he would be willing to change his name.

Maybe I should be angry with Microsoft. One of the characters in the Freelancer storyline has my real full name.

The Freelancer manual says "Unless otherwise noted, the example companies, organizations, products, domain names, e-mail addresses, logos, people, places and events depicted herein are fictitious..." That means you're just a figment of Bill Gates' imagination.:P

Um, I didn't mean all of the google results. Just the ones that he specifically mentioned:rolleyes:

I had a similar thought about tis myself. I tend to use DarkSaber as my default name on most games and forums, but after joining Discovery I found that there was another player called 'Saber' and I was a bit concerned there might be a problem with him or people who knew him thinking I was trying to make some play on his name (like they might have thought I was trying to portray his 'evil twin' or something!) I guess my point is that coincidences happen, if someone is using a similar name to you, it doesn't automatically mean a foul deed is a foot!

Off topic, but my curiosity was piqued by your name combined with your sig, is it a reference to the Iron Maiden song?
