Ok I just got an Anki, still has the AU 8 since I need more money for the CAU, but even with that IT TOOK SEVERAL BATTLESHIP SHOTS WITHOUT INSTANTLY EXPLODING! THAT THING'S A FREAKING TANK!, usually I would have insta-pop'd with a VHF or a HF, but that thing didn't explode!, now THAT'S a space tank!
Wait. Do you suck in fighters because you cannot aim efficiently? Or are you, like me, suffering due to lagg?
Because its why I prefer cap on cap warefare over fighter on fighter.
Atleast with caps the effects of lagg is reduced since your weapons are slower anyway and you don't seem to get as much lagg from larger ships.
Snub scraps on the other hand seem to get a bit cluster**y and my processor goes on strike from all the laser fire and I end up shooting up some slightly menicing looking rock.
Good thing weapons don't have inf range. I'd probably kill someone on the other side of the map.

I actually prefer fighters because they're faster, but Yeah I was actually planning on getting a KusEx, but Can't afford for one, they're expensive.
But I think a nice Anki with Tons of armor can use missiles like an Ullapool Caber
Tell you what, I've been playing on disco for 3-4 years, and FL for 4-5 years.
I've only been really winning in the past year. ''Really'' as in, with my skill, not with my luck.
I used to get owned by anything and everything, had no aim whatsoever and even died with missiles, and missiles used to suck hard back then, tough times. How many times I raged and emo'd about being such a sucky pilot...well, you'd have to ask the people in the factions I've been for an exact number, I pretty much gave up all hope.
Then I joined CR.
Then I joined HF.
Now people say my aim is ****ing lethal.
Yet I still suck at sliding, but it's ok, I'll learn that too.
So yeah, a piece of advice, don't give up, and join factions that are considered pvpwhore factions. They'll help you with the fighting part, not just by training, but by getting owned in group fights again and again and again and then learning your mistakes from them easier since you've got someone pointing out each and everyone one of those mistakes you do.
Here's a list of the so-called pvpwhore factions, not a complete list, just from the top of my mind:

There are many more combat oriented factions of course, but these are the ones that get immense amounts of fighting, you might not see them around these days, but you can blame the devs and zelot for that. But it's ok, server activity will spike in a day or two.
Yeah, impossible amount of combat these guys get. Mostly the ones in Liberty, especially the [LN] and [HF], yet the [HF] could be considered more hardcore as they have to fight large numbers of caps as well as snubs.
=CR= is harsh due to the same reasons and their enemies having some good tech and all that, yet, Sabres getting nerf'd so it's np.
K'Hara is just...you get swarmed all day long.

[RHA], well..I just know them as pvpwhores, but I don't have much to do with Rheinland anyway..
So yeah, join pvpwhore factions and be patient, you'll get better.

and I've actually been with RHA, and I assure you, you BETTER get good at getting Zerg Rushed by Corsairs an get RM lolwuts on you, translate lolwuts as Battleship spam:laugh:
Also SCRA, you must, MUST count more than the other guys, I mean, if your party's of 5 then it's a fair game if you're fighting 10-15. For short, they play in a way of Elite Army
PS: I don't get why they're called "PVP whores", games are for fighting, and in roleplaying games they're called The Real Man
