Drying it might be fine for short a term fix, but you will face corrosion and or mineral deposits at a later date, might cause problems, might not. the best thing to do when electronics are dropped in liquid is cover it in methylated spirits and let it drip dry (evaporates quickly), trust me, My girlfriend has a habit of leaving her mobile phone in her pants when it comes to washing day. i picked up this technique when i was a maritime electronic engineer, best fix for gps's dropped overboard into saltwater too!
