That has already been increased methinks.

And the damage multiplier cannot be removed unless the wireframes of the extra parts are removed. Its the damage multiplier that makes vanilla fighters so vulnerable, not the hardpoints themselves.

Mr. Sabre coming in, having only read the first 2 pages (for lack of attention span) and I have to say I couldn't care either way, but I'd prefer to not get killed in one hit. Annoying? Yes. Does it happen often to me? No. Fought 5 Wraths the other day, and they could hardly get past my shields... When my shields are down, the mines normally just miss. Don't want to get killed by a torp? Launch a Train CD, which puts the damage on the guy shooting it. Or dodge.

But yes, I suggested something like this to DBoy about the Sabre just getting a new model so that they wouldn't get insta-killed. Not sure how it would work as I know nothing about the FL engine, but whatever.

Fix the Titan somewhat? Why not, I know its wings get hurt very often and very easily. The Corsairs are mighty, so they certainly will notice it and improve their ship design.
Fix the wings, but leave some parts to be still shootable.

I voted no. Neither for all VHFs nor for all ships.

I thought this is what the Armor upgrades were designed to deal with. You get one and you should not get instakilled...

Otherwise, to maintain a fair game, all ships would have to have their Mk.II version released, which will have no shootable parts, to be less vulnerable. Which means discarding this feature of the game completely. Should that happen, I'm suggesting a significant increase to missile blast radius, because then their only purpose will be to damage the target's equipment. If you don't want to discard all missiles as well.

This insta-killing is the only way to beat the NPCs with some lower-grade ships. If you don't instakill them, their regeneration capabilities will make you uncomfortable.

Explosives are dangerous, they are meant to be dangerous. Fortunately, they can be avoided. If the VHF pilots feel as a disadvantage that they can't dodge because of their ships' parameters, there's nothing left to say.

also..if u hit non vanilla fighter with one or two nukes or torps...it probably wont kill it...but it will most likely destroy it weapons and for that fight make him as good as dead...

Why Corsairs don't try the Virage. It is an independent vessel and sold right next door to Crete. It has no destructible parts, so it has no insta kill damage multiplier.

I would like seeing Corsairs in Virage as much as I liked Outcasts in Talons/BD's.
