Cryoto walked into the bar. His jacket slung over his right shoulder, shades tucked in his grey shirt and his other hand in the left pocket of his flight trousers.
He'd just been moved up from being a nugget and into the 'Hell's Angels', his new-found squadron. He didn't really know much about it, except that the people were laid back and he'd often find them drinking among the patrons in the bar. Oh, Chamberlain was also in it, which was pretty good.
He came up to the bartender and asked for a drink. "Hey man, I'll have a Council Cognac please"
He gave the bartender some credits and then departed for the nearest table.
He kicked back in his seat, resting his legs on the table and placing his jacket on his seat. He took a drink from his glass.
Moments later after his uncle, Marcus Wilgrin entered the bar as well. He said "hi" to a few people around the bar, including Daniel, then went to the bartender.
"I'll go for a Martini tonight, lad." He quickly said while picking up one of the readied glasses on the counter and leaving some credits.
After walking around in the room and drinking about half of his drink, he noticed Maverick at one of the tables and decided to join him. As he threw himself on one of the comfortable chairs he continued with a smile: "Yo, Max, i'm here now..."
He took another sip of his drink and then grinned, asking with a lower voice. "So, how about you tell me more about you and Arisu, man. I mean... i don't know much, but my boys tell me crazy stuff."
"Arisu?" He pondered "What's there to tell? Why would I care anyway?" He took an aggressive drink from his glass. He didn't seem to be in a good mood at all.
"Sometimes I wondered why the hell I signed up here and didn't stick to being barely able to make a living in BMM... Ugh"
"Hey, hey, calm down. I'm just teasing ya. Sorry..." Marcus remarked.
After looking around, he thought for a moment, then continued "I have an idea..." and while lowering his voice "What do you say if we wait for the right moment, then bust into the back-room over there? Some fellows from our Squadron did the same about a week ago, they emptied the whole stack of Schnaps, bloody bastards.", finishing his idea, he chuckled then waved to a waiter for another Martini.
"Alright, why not. Sounds like a plan" Cryoto agreed. "You give the signal when we make the raid and get some free drinks". He put his flight shades over his eyes in acknowledgement.
"Alright, so - when the time's right, i'll give you a wink so you can come to the counter and keep the barman busy, while i go in and get the stuff." Marcus explained.
Fifteen minutes later, Marcus finished his drink, then stood up and moved to the counter. He ordered another drink, then turned around and leaned on the counter... looking around the bar.
Lou couldn't help but laugh at the conversation he was listening into from his office. *Bloody amateurs* he thought to himself, as he listened to Marcus and Cyoto schemed to raid his storeroom. Apparently they were dumber than they looked, considering this was primarily a military bar, and the spooks in the Republic had requested listening devices planted at every table. The caveat to that request being that Lou would have access to the feeds, otherwise he would have never allowed them to install such devices.
"Oye! Get in here!" Lou yelled to his right hand man who was in the next room. "Take a gander at this." He replayed the conversation for Darion to hear. "Bastards! I'll make sur-" Darion was cut off by Lou. "No no, we're going to set them up. Looks like the are getting ready, so you need to be quick about this. Here is the plan..."
It didn't take long for Marcus to find the right moment, so he winked in Max's direction and then moved away from the counter and near the door to the storeroom. He then gave another glance around and waited for Cryoto to get the barman's attention..
As soon as Cryoto started babbling at the barman, with whatever excuse, Marcus sneaked trough the door into the storeroom, then took a good look around, making sure there's nobody in there.
"Holy!" He thought. "This whole thing is a treasure hole. Hehe."
Then he drew a plastic bag out of his pocket and started carefully placing the bottles of Schnapps, Martini, and all sorts of drinks, into the bag.
