And how do you know the reporter is correctly translating the message? One could take any non-english post and 'translate' it into a profane diatribe. Unless we had admins/moderators fluent in that particular language, they wouldn't know the difference. They'd have to rely on google translate, or somesuch.
I agree that we ought to have non-english subforums, but they would have to be unmoderated in terms of verbal abuse. (Pornography and other inappropriate content could obv. still be moderated).
I'm conflicted on whether we ought to be inviting them to the main server. Obviously the language barrier would impede one's ability to roleplay with them. Is that a bad thing? Is it oorp for one to encounter another character whom doesn't speak the same language? I would say no.
However, if we open the floodgates to non-English speakers, we may find ourselves in a situation where the non-English speakers match or even outnumber the English speakers, and at that point we might as well not be a roleplaying server anymore.
If you read carefully in the previous posts there's A LOT of people not coming from english speaking countries, or do you think you're the only ones able to speak it?, such subsection if created will need with no genre of doubt a number of moderators that speak fluently those languages.... fortunately, we have a lot of people that speak fluently those languages because they're his/her country's language...
So you are saying, we should not do this at the very possibility that there might be an individual who'd take advantage of the language barrier to post profinity that might not be reported by other speakers of that language?
Why fret over something that hasn't yet happened?
If it does happen, the right procedures will be taken or the forum section will be scrapped. There's absolutely no excuse to shoot this down before we have actually bothered to try it.

This makes literally no sense.
@topic
I approve of this and would gladly help with translating stuff to Polish.

It actually does. His concern is about mod/reporter abusement.
I believe there are trusted people out there from many languages the Moderator team would trust with the task, or ask for lecturing in case an individual other than they reported something with a questionably accurate translation.

Whoawhoa, don't go putting words in my mouth. I'm well aware we have a number of multilingual members. However, compared to the number of community members, we have very few admins and moderators, because admins/moderators are held to a very high standard of professionalism. mostly
Will we be able to find community members who both speak these other languages and are worthy of elevating to moderator status? Maybe, maybe not. I'm just pointing out something to consider. The decision isn't up to me, anyway.

No, I am not saying we should not do this. In fact, I'm pretty sure I said we should do it.
And it was not so much a matter of 'there might be individuals posting profanity that would go unreported', but rather 'there might be trolls who report innocent people.'
I'm just saying, if we do this, we may have to just let it go unmoderated, so that we don't open a can of worms / create a ton more work for the moderators and admins.

I'm already doing it with hungarian players, who arent speak english properly. Mainly rule clarification, etc. but just in PM. I'm not against the idea spazz, but how could they be a part of the whole community without good enough english command?
I'm assuming the point of this is to assist non-english-speaking players better understand the mod, so that they might better enjoy their experience playing on other servers. And to help the non-english speakers on the main server to be less of a nuisance.
They can be a part of Discovery as a community without knowing English or Roleplaying.
They just have to be educated and, most importantly, given a chance to ask questions about things they don't understand, so they do not get into trouble.
