Unless your threatened or have in character reasons which may drag your faction into it, I'd say no.
My reasoning is ZOner are non participates in most others battles, I would think most other would be non participate in theirs. Plus I'm not aware of a player GMG faction but the Harvesters are trying to get on good terms with them.
One thing I'd like to know about Harvesters, though I am not involved with Zoners, is how they are supposed to interact with Liberty lawful PC's. Case in point: Harvester 11. Unique, wouldn't drop The Beacon. (artifact) Nobody shot anything, other than a few NPC's. I'm just wondering what appropriate action is for, say, the LPI when encountering a Harvester.

Right now we are decideing on wither a artifact or a history of surius item as the beacon. I figure if LPI looked at it it may look like alien stuff and, decide to sieze the ship or let it slide I will let Liberty handle its bussiness and we will adapt.
Now as for item what do you all think. we are trying to blend in but we do have tech not common to the rest of surius. I could go either way but the men and women playing Harvesters are leaning to History of surius item.
if the beacon is a symbolic item ( which it is ) - and the intention is not to have an annoying amount of little NPCs on you, - i d say, go for the history of sirius. - its as close to the intended item as an artifact - but won t cause any negative attention from NPCs towards the harvesters.
if however, by roleplay means the beacon is supposed to be "fishy" - i d go for the artifact of course. - but that mainly depends on what other facitons have to say about it. - if the official lawfuls decide that the beacon is something "strange" that needs to be looked at... then artifacts are better suited.
maybe - we can get a load of "roleplay" items in the next modupdate. - stuff that has no profitable value ( like credit cards ) but can be used in a wide range of RP actions. - would love that... but not sure how much a load of new commodities affects the server.
I'd agree with that Jinx, we do need some items that reflect in game RP items, such as the TAZ's Principia Discordia, and the Harvester's Beacon, then each faction could be treated as an oddity rather than as a criminal, which is how it should be.
Kudos to the Harvester's for giving the Zoners something to RP with by the way, far too many people see the Zoners as a neutral faction to be largely ignored, and that obviously leaves the poor Zoners with not much to do.
I'd also say that those people who rely on the zoner's for things, such as food and ships should consider the Harvester's unfriendly at best, you threaten their only source of much needed goods. But I'd limit event based RP shennanigans to the Zoners alone.
