Did you buy them as a BHG or as a Merc?
So, you have 2 Liberty Carriers and a Brettonian battleship, in a BHG official faction?
Isn't it a bit too much? And isn't it a bit too 'different' from regular BHG?
Is it also too expensive to change your Raven Claw's for Manta's?

These are the questions that require answers.
I can go and buy a Dragon battleship now for my Liberty Navy character, and complain here how it's not payable to sell it.

I can field the first one. A long long time ago, in the same galaxy, when there no such thing as Bounty Hunter capships, they got permission to buy "any house ship."

It's like saying "Rogues don't have a BS, so I'll get an Outcast BS as my Rogue".
They don't have it because it's supposed to be that way.

So Chopper based on that logic (if you want to call it that) then a lot of pirates would not be flying around in those nifty bombers during that time either as only 1 faction had the right to fly them. I didnt hear anyone pointing that little fact out at the time. Or in your opinion its ok for unlawfuls to do things that would be out of RP but its not alright for lawfuls to. Sounds very much like a unlawful doing most the complaining in order to gain an unfair advantage.

AHEM, I'd like to point out that what ANYONE can do, unlawful/lawful/quasi-lawful/mind-controlling-cephalopod or otherwise, is based on RP. Most of it is pretty easy- Liberty Navy basically get a de-facto 'okay' RP-wise for navy ships, because... I mean, come on, it's explicitly their ships and the NPCs fly them etc. Same goes for Bounty Hunters, you would have to be one insane RP-er to get anyone able to yell at you for flying your own gorram ships... When it isn't so obvious, however, put RP behind it. If there is good RP behind it, it's usually better than vanilla backgrounds. This goes for Gaians using Corsair equipment as well as LPI using the Ageira Bomber- it's reasonable, but there needs to be (and usually is) more than 'well that equipment is better'.

I think I can say that I represent everyone not DW in this thread when I say "Produce RP for it, it's all good. Otherwise, scrap 'em."

If you'll check Tinkerbell's sanctions and stuff, rules = serious business for ships. You are expected to do your RP duty no matter how expensive it is. The fact that some people offered to help you along if you give a respectable, honest apology for attitude and humble request is quite nice, but not required. Do your job, and set a good example to the rest of the server like official factions are supposed to, whether you get to justifying your capships or replacing them. That's your call, but it needs to be done.

I can understand that you had those ships before the BHG has its own,,,
But when was that???? before 4.83, now we are in 4.84, at least 6 months later. 6 Months,,, thats enough time to accumulate credits, at any rate you want, to change your ships.

But there is an other issue. I'm mainly on TS with some of your clanmates, and One day I saw a newbie (by all meaning of the word.) that just joined your clan (and that was less than 2 months ago),,, and guess what he was flying,,, the liberty Carrier... and he got PWNED by 4 LH- in Sabres (maybe one or two of them were a bomber)

Thank you Jinx. Sadly, people still think the Battlecruisers, Destroyers etc are for wasting pirates in fighters.

I think the Gunboats are exempt from the Core roleplay, well, maybe not the Orca.

One thing to take into account. At the time that DW arrived here we DID question about what ships were allowed and which ones were not. We were informed that purchasing ANY house ship was allowed.

I really doubt you got that answer to be brutally honest.

So what is next..a listing of what factions "control" what ship from battleships all the way down to fighters and then forcing every player to change to a more appropriate vessel.

No, people generally use common sense and read the ship's inforcard first, try it next time.

1. Yes DW are BountyHunters - The original thought of being mercs was rejected as the original ID stated that the pilot could not be part of a clan.

I have my doubts about that, but meh.

2. Captainpoo - it costs 435 million to trade from a libety carrier to a BH battleship. The battlecruiser is a serious step down in ship class as it is only a heavy cruiser (all but 2 guns are class 9) about the same as asking someone to trade in their destroyer for a bomber.

And your point is? Several pirate faction pilots sell for alot more then BHG pilots do and a carrier has a damn big hold for a reason.

3. kingvaillant - you want to fine me for having a ship that was asked about prior to purchase and was permitted at that time..you want me to switch..you either wait until i generate almost half a billion credits or you hand it to me. Making threats like that after the fact is being an jerk. As far as paying it..i would not hold my breath for it and attacking us will most likely result in something you would be better off avoiding.

Actually as the offical liberty navy faction they can enforce whatever laws they want to as long as those laws don't break the server rules.

As for the jerk comment, that was an uncalled for personal insult.

As for the comment about not trying to fine you... thats a threat, a threat that you will not be able to back up either (mostly due to the horde of independents who will shred your little capship).

4. Chopper - you forgot to mention that ALL the ships in Omega-15 at the time you entered were all independents. I noticed them when I was taking my "illegal" ship to dock to be decommissioned.
An SA made a comment that the outcasts were permitted to use a bomber that was not allowed and then they switched once one was available. How exactly does trading out a 6 million credit vessel equal a 700 million vessel? I know the concept is the same..but dont expect it to be done overnight.

Correction, the BHG battleship and destroyer came out about a 1.5/2 years ago, so there has been no need for any bounty hunter not to use them. As for the claim that DW were here before the capships came out... I was here about a year ago, the ships I mentioned above were here (killed several BHG players BS as a phantom) and I don't recall there being any sign of any DW.

BHG players have practically free reign to go anywhere, they can actively hunt pirates and they have their own complete line of ships to boot:-
LF,
HF,
upgraded LF,
2x VHFs,
bomber,
Gunship,
Gunboat,
Destroyer,
Battlecruiser,
Battleship.

It's a damn shame (and a disgrace to those who do), that a few are tarnishing the rep of all the others by using their IDs as an excuse to PvP wherever and whenever they like, flying whatever ship they like and using whatever guns they like.
